Hi!

My name is Gabrielle. I'm 48. I have long, straight, light brown hair. It falls to about the middle of my back. Some of it is colored and I'm growing that out. Speaking of which...it's about time for another trim. I stopped coloring it because I didn't want to end up like my mother-in-law HAVING to color it to hid her gray.  When her roots start showing, her hair is about white so I think of a zebra because she colors it close to her orginal dark color. Anyway, aside from that I love my mohter-in-law... :)  And I don't mind if I have gray hair...I've earned those silver strands!  :)

Anyway, I have two teenage kids; a girl, 19 in college and a boy 17 in high school, a husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats (with all this going on, hence the gray hair). I work full time at a local hospital on the med/surg floor as a mobile secretary.  It is a 66 bed unit and we get BUSY. I love to meet new people. I'm easy-going, alittle on the heavy side but I'm working on that.  :P

But I found this site by searching for how to care for long hair. I've learned alot.

As long as I can get it to grow.  ;D  I usually just were it down...sometimes using a head band to keep it off my face.  When it's hot out, I'll put it up in a pony tail. But after reading about taking care of long hair and the damage that comes it it...I may rethink about what I do to it. I don't use blowdryers or any other heating elements. It does need a trim right now. The ends are starting to show some friz.  :P
