I know that Bikerbraid usually organizes this, but tomorrow is the first. So, with no word yet, I was curious as to if we will be doing it again this year. I always find it fun!:D Is anyone else interested in participating?

I'll get back to you and everyone on this. I'll be gone for a week from 12/3-12/10 so I'll see if we're doing this.

It's basically a grab bag with a small spending limit of 10 or 20 dollars. The gifts can be hair related or not.

Anyone who is interested reponds in the post. And in that post, you can also specify things like favorite color or any other sort of preference you may have.

Once all the names are gathered, bikerbraid will draw them from a hat or some means to randomly pick who gives to whom.

Then, an email is sent to each individual with their person that they will buy for, and their home address. Who you are buying for is kept secret.

When the person receives their gift, they will then post in the thread what their gift is and who they received it from. Sometimes they'll post pictures of the gifts for everyone else to see. :)

Unfortunately since I'll be away, it's not fair to everyone to do a rush improper grab bag. It wouldn't be fun to do a rush job. That's not my style and I'm sure members would like to have favorable fond memories of all of our Secret Santa grab bags. To ease the disappointment I suggest that we come up with a Mystery Grab Bag soon. This way I can organize it and everyone is not rushing to get a gift and rushing to the post offce. Fun and less stress for all who participate. How's that sound?

I'd like to participate this year, too!
I don't mind if we skip a Secret Santa, in favor of a more leisurely Mystery Grab Bag in a month or two. :)

We could do it in January, sort of a celebration of the new year. Ooooooo, or in February for Valentine's day!

Sounds like we're all on the same page! Keep thowing in your ideas! We'll see about sometime in January,when the New Year is still new,but Valentine's Day is fast approaching!
