Title: Wen Hair Care System
Post by Curlgirl64 on Jun 19th, 2010 at 2:49pm
I finally gave in and called the number for the infomercial for Wen Hair Care System.
It came this morning and I used it this afternoon.
I must have used 40 pumps of the cleansing conditioner!!!!
I'm airdrying now.  The jury is still out on this one, fellow longhairs!!
I used the wide tooth comb that came as a free gift.  It's actually a wide tooth and a sorta rattail comb.  Upon close inspection,it is seamless.
I used a quarter size amount of the styling creme, after I got out of the shower.
The "flavor" in this package is Sweet Almond Mint.
One positive thing is that my scalp isn't itching......so far.
When all is dry,I'll give a final review! ;D :D
Ok, I'm back!
It's been about 5 hours....my hair is soft, very soft.  I like that. Curly, but not as curly as I would like it.  Frizz is minimal to none.
Would I spend the money again?  Don't know yet.  I've got to use it a few times.  Heck, that's all I'll get out of this bottle at 40 pumps per use!!!!
I'm liking the PrairieLand Herbs Aloe Fresh shampoo bar, too.
The Sandlewood shampoo bar came today and it went right into the freezer for future use. 8-)

Thanks for the reviw.  I was thinking about ordering the Wen, but will hold off until you post more.  The 40 pumps of product puts me off somewhat.

What a coincidence - someone on the Miss Manners message board was asking about this same product two days ago.

I have been looking at the Wen commercials, and to me, the models' hair looked limp.  I have fine hair and don't need anything that will make my hair look limp.  I suspect that the product is too conditioning for fine hair, so will not order it.

Well this is the second time I've used Wen and I'm seriously thinking of not cancelling the membership.  I used about 35 pumps this time, give or take, left it in for 5 minutes and rinsed with cool water then as cold as I could stand it.  I didn't use any oil, but I used some of the creme after I had put my hair in a twistie towel.  I let my hair air dry as usual.
Pretty curly and I can run my fingers through it.  So all in all I probably would give this an 8 or 9 out of 10.  Maybe I would give it a 9 or 10 if I try the fig formula.I think I'll do just that and give it another review......

I'm absolutely hooked on this stuff. I've got fine hair with lots of flyaways and it totally smoothes them down. The fig scent is too heavy for me to use just by itself and the cucumber wasn't enough moisture. I particularly like the almond and the lavender. I just had to experiment with different kinds. Its cold, dry ,and windy where I live and this stuff keeps my hair from drying out. Amazon has it but its cheaper at qvc if you don't want to go the infomercial route.

Speaking of WEN, I ordered the auto delivery of the supersize Fig that comes with some other 2 items.  I figured I'd try this again, but instead of one cleansing, I'd do 2 cleansings.  I'll keep ya posted on results.  I'll be optimistic!
