Title: sweat, hair, and washing...
Post by brownlonglocks on Oct 6th, 2010 at 2:40am
Hello,
I am a new member :) I have written a lot about my hair in the new members board...

My question is.....
I have a pretty active lifestyle including horse riding and gym and I sweat pretty easily (lol!)
I was wondering if I should wash it everyday beacuse of this or will this be bad for my hair? At the moment I am just wetting it somedays and washing it others.

Thanks for your help :D

I think washing with shampoo every day is too much, unless your scalp is very oily.  Perhaps you could try a CO, or conditioner only wash.  Basically, you're washing your scalp w/a light weight conditioner and then conditioning the length as usual.

Do you feel the wetting it on some days is giving you the result you want?  You can of course "wash" your scalp with water, using your fingers to remove any debris just like you would if you were using a shampoo.

what i am doing at the moment is keeping it clean but i feel like its drying it out. I like the idea of the CO wash. So conditioner every day wont be bad for my hair?

Washing every day is not harmful so long as you use the right products. If yours are drying your hair out, they aren't the right ones for you.
