I've always wanted straight hair! I find that if it's not thin, straight hair is really beautiful because it always looks neat. I hope I can wear my hair down when it's long again. I can't wear my hair down now because it's ... poofy... and ugly. lol! Patience, patience, patience! Why oh why did I have to cut my hair?  Cry

I am so sorry.  I have had good results with MSM, Biotin and Silica.  These along with a good multi-vitamin have slowed my hairloss.   Some common causes of hairloss can be, diet, stress, and thyroid malfunctions.  Have you seen a medical professional regarding your hairloss?  It could be a symtom of something more serious.

My hair is about 2 inches above my knees!  I started growing it out after a bad perm about 23 years ago...I was going to grow it until it hit the back of my knees or I turned 30 (I'll be 40 this year) now I'm trying for mid calf or maybe my ankles  who knows Smiley
ginny

Ginny, your hair sounds beautiful.  How wonderful that you have been able to grow it to such a wonderful length and have the courage to "buck" society and keep it, even though you are soon to be 40. It sounds like there is no limit to the length of your hair!

Keep up the good work.   Cheesy

Glad to hear it is not a significant medical problem, but the stress is serious enough.  Hope you can find a way to relieve it soon.

My hair is about 1 inch away from classic length, straight ,fine and dark blonde to light brown in colour.I let it grow again after a hairdresser cut it from waistlength(that story belongs to the hair horror stories) to a chin length bob seven years ago. IF my hair will grow that long,I would like to have knee-length hair one day.I  tried to post a picture here but unfortunately it didnīt work out.

I actually went in for trimming the ends only.I had some split ends, but (to me at least)my hair was in fair condition.Well, the hairdresser came, grabbed a strand of my hair, looked at it with distaste and called all of the other hairdressers to look at `that incredibly damaged hairī,mumbling all the time that people really shouldnīt let their hair grow that long....I felt quite silly with all of them standing there and telling me it had to be cut,so I gave in...and regretted it immediately afterwards. It took me seven years to grow it back to now  almost classic length,I went to a different salon for regular trims(always glad when I was out of there and still had my hair).About a year or so I stopped going to salons completely and I now trim it myself-itīs not as neatly cut as a professional could do it-but quite o.k.

How frightening!  It is for that very reason I have not been to a salon for trims.  My husband trims my hair once a year and I dust the splits myself as needed.

I do hope you are doing everything you can to care for your hair and ensure its healthy appearance.

Yes,sometimes Iīm surprised how healthy my hair is-very few splits-without going to a salon CheesyI grew up never questioning the existence Smileyof hairdressers, one simply went there every 4-6 weeks, and that was it.So when I decided never to go there again,I expected a lot of difficulties in caring for my hair-but I have to say itīs never been so easy-I simply dust the ends every 2 months or so and I manage to get them quite even.My hair has grown a lot during that time(almost classic),definately an advantage.

Yes, classic length is to the bottom of your buttocks.  Don't feel you need to appologize, your English is excellent and the point of this message area is to answer questions.  So keep on asking!
