Hello,

I am new to this message board.  It is a lovely site.  I think my hair would be considered 3c4a thin to med volume fine texture with some med texture in the crown and front.  I discovered the International Long Hair Club and Neil's Long and Natural sites a year ago Feb.  They  renewed my  my life long desire to achieve long beautiful hair.  I also purchased His book.  I am chemical free except for semi-permanent hair color.  My hair has, with the advice received, grown longer this past year than ever.  So I am in uncharted waters as far as hair length.  However, I have set a goal of mid thigh.  I have named that length,  Renaissance, mostly because it represents, for me, a touch of the past with a rebirth into a dream I have always had.  I started with thinned hair mid back  length with layers(not by choice).  Neil said it was no need to cut but to only trim off any splits.
It is currently 5 inches past my waist about at my hip bone.  Not sure if that is the tail bone length equivilant.  The layers are consistant in growth.  I imagine that once my hair reaches its natural final length the layers will come together. The shortest is the front and the crown where I had the worst thinning and breakage before.   Also I am going with the natural V shape.  Of course I have to pull  on my hair to see actual length.  My hair can coil up about 7 inches.  With mid thigh I could achieve a nice braid that falls around Classic length.
Its nice to have found this site. Smiley

Hi and welcome!

It is always frustrating when you want to reach a goal and you don't seem to be getting any closer to it.

How long has your hair been at its current length?  It is " is average, but many, including me, see half that during the winter months.

Patience and good care will usually be what you need to reach your hair goals.  Good Luck!  Cheesy

My hair growing at about 1/2" to 3/4" per month.  I do lose a lot when combing or shampooing though....or it seems I do.  My goal is 48" long or between my butt and my knees!

I have no idea what my hair length is in inches is or how many inches I want my hair to be as a goal.  All I know is that right now my hair falls about three inches above armpit length and my goal length is  waist to tailbone length.  I'll have to start measuring my hair to see how much it grows per month, though.  Oh yeah, and I'm new to this forum.  So far, I like it a lot  Smiley
