Do any of you have any ideas on *reducing* volume?

With curly or wavy hair, brushing it will increase the fluffiness/volume of hair.  If you only comb your hair, it would not fluff out as much.  Oiling the hair will also make the hair cling together more and be heavier which would reduce some of the volume.

My hair is wavy, and I only brush it the day after I wash it, because it gets flatter then. On the day I wash it I either finger comb it or comb it but either way, when it's dry it will poof up. I can't keep oil in all my hair all day!  Undecided
