Ella;

If your hair is curly, and you feel that you are losing some of the curl, you might try www.naturallycurly.com. I've been meaning to tell you about this site but I forgot. If you can get your hair to be curlier it'll bring back some of the volume. Also you might try rag/sock curls  Smiley.

I did see the site and loved it!  Thank you for the link.  Smiley

Now... if I can only get my hair back!   Undecided

Did you get the tyhroid panel back? Is it ok? That was the first thing I thought of when I read what a difficult time you are having. Did you talk to a doctor about the diet? I know people have lost weight on that diet but I don't think it is healthy. My husband calls it the "Ketosis diet", but he's a biochemist and a little cynical maybe  Kiss
Well, I hope things are getting better for you.

I agree with your husband, noelkara. Restricting carbohydrates forces the body to break food down via ketosis (instead of glycosis) and is the reason the Atkin's diet "works."

I'm not an expert, but I know ketosis is extremely hard on the liver and kidneys (which have to filter a lot of crap they wouldn't normally deal with). Any "unnatural" diet is too rough on your body to justify it, it is always better to follow good nutrition and exercise. In your case, Ella, I agree with others that your problem sounds metabolical, I hope you got some helpful news back from your doctor!!
