Hemp Oil
Jun 1st, 2003 at 12:32pm

Since I like to experiment with natural hair care recipes, and never had any luck with olive or jojoba oil(well,itīs a wax actually if I remember correctly),I decided to give hemp oil a try.
I mixed my regular shampoo with a bit of water and added a drop of the hemp oil, washed my hair and then conditioned as usual.I have to say I really liked the results-soft,shiny and well moisturized hair.I have tried this for 3 or 4 times now,and I hope there wonīt be any build-up over time!
I have tried this with a silicone free shampoo and conditioner

Hemp oil was on my list of oils to try.  Glad you have had success.  I too had trouble with olive.  Haven't tried jojaba.  I am currently useing Hazlenut with nice results.  MY hair is curly and does not become dry or sticky so far with it.  I use it in the recipes as well as directly on my wet hair as a warm oil treatment before washing.   But I will try the hemp oil.  Rose hip oil is also on my list to try.  I love variety.  I do still use grapeseed oil  in my shampoo and fruit conditioner recipes.
