August 2003 Measurements

Richard's hair, with the curl pulled completely straight, is 27" long as of 8/10/03.  Of course, when it boings back to curliness, it's half that length!

We just measured mine... it was relatively dry and a little wavy from being braided since I showered yesterday.  It's 41" from my widow's peak to the ends.

Yeah, Richard has been growing his hair since he met me.  His ponytail just forms one big banana curl, it's so curly.  You'd never know it was anywhere near as long as it is.  Thank god that being a senior computer geek, he can get away with long hair at work.

Finally remembered to find a tape measure.  Measuring from the front, my hair is about 35 inches.

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for Richard to get back home after dropping some work stuff off so he can give me a *serious* trim.  I just got a good look at the back of my hair and the ends aren't looking too sporty, I like them to be all even and blunt cut.  I caved with the bangs yesterday and cut them back (about 5" of hair!), tonight it's the length.  I'm hoping I can talk him into 6" or so.  Anne-Marie will be out in front all by herself if I have my way, LOL!

I'll report back after the dirty deed is done with a new shorter-but-much-healthier measurement!

Although it´s a lot of hair you cut,  Cry I can understand,I´m  also a fan of blunt cut ends and I would have done the same.(I trimmed about an inch off after my last holiday, maybe another inch or so will follow,my ends still look a bit straggly and I hate that!!).
After all, your hair is still very long and I´m sure it looks great Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah, it looks *so* much better.  And it moves!  I forgot what it was like to have hair that actually MOVES!  I've been diggin' it all night... I don't even have that usual desperate need to get it up and out of my way.  I shoulda done this a long time ago, I'm such a wuss.

If you can't be happy with your hair, what is the point.  Glad you feel good about your serious trim, Rapunzel  Smiley

Hard to believe, my hair is longer than yours!  (I had mine trimmed a month ago and was glad to have done it as well).

Yeah, as far as I can tell from the text, that's Diane Witt.  I think she's the Guinness Book holder for the woman with the longest hair.  I know some guy in India now has the record for the world's longest hair.

While looking to see if the Diane Witt page ever came back, I found this great pic of Crystal Gayle:
