Hi there,

today I remembered me wanting to measure all the time- from my hairline (forehead, not neck Wink) my hair is 33,5 inches long  Shocked
By the way, do you measure from hairline or from crown?

I measure from my hairline. I'm so glad your hair is getting so long, E.! Anything past 30" is pretty darn long  Grin

It sounds incredibly long. I saw the pic from your hair and it was actually longer than mine (besides I trimmed it after showing you the pic because my ends looked fringed what I cannot see without taking pics from my back Wink) ! Maybe you are a little bit smaller than me.

Hello!  I will someday be posting impressive hair lengths as you all have, but starting out, I'm at 10"   Embarrassed   I'm adding my measurements so that I can't wimp out and get it  cut before it gets long.

Hi there Lynn! Welcome!

The important thing is to have healthy hair when you start out. I, for one, was in no shape to cut out all the damage my hair had from dyeing (didn't want to end up bald  Undecided), so it's great that you're starting fresh! What are your long hair goals?

Thanks for the welcome!  My hair is in pretty good condition, though I have long layers and full bangs.  (I plan to grow out the layers, and some of my bangs)  I haven't actually made a number goal, just somewhere below my elbows.  I haven't had long hair since I was in grade school, and keep trying, but eventually, I get it cut short again.  The longest I've had it recently, was just below my shoulders, but I got a perm and had to get it mostly cut off Cry  Last winter, I had a jaw length bob, but that was too short for me, so I am back to growing it again.  I've only recently found the LL site, and it's given me motivation to grow it really long again! Cheesy

Smiles,
Lynn

Well, either we didn't measure accurately after we cut my hair or it's growing really slowly this month.  I'm only at 34 1/4".  Still loving my cut and also loving my new blonde streak!  Still have to do the toner process to make it really white, though.

PICS, Rapunzel, PICS! I want to see that blonde streak!!  Grin

Also, some months are just slower than others. It depends on whether eating habits have changed, health, and other things. You'll be back to normal growth in no time!

Thanks bikerbraid   Grin  I actually was really worried about the henna and how it would turn out, but it really looks good. I didn't go crazy with drastic change, just a medium brown(much like my own color) with a little mahogany mixed in(to accent my own red/auburn highlights). It is really shiny, which was really my intention , plus I still have most of my gray. My hair had been looking kind of dull. I am glad i tried it and will do it again probably late fall.

Hey Rapunzel, where is the blond streak located.

You have to wait until it's whitewhite and I get my digital comera back.

My hair length also depends on the accuracy of my hubby.  We won't go there :x

If hubby's accuracy is questionable, we expect pictures so we can decide for ourselves how long your hair is getting!  Get the camera back and show us that beautiful streak!

Well, I want to give my hair a week or so to recover before I do the toner thing and besides, I have to wait for it to show up.  I ordered the new white toner made by Manic Panic, and a bunch of their colors too so I can have "mood hair," LOL!

Aw, that's alright bikerbraid... I understand impatience.  Patience is not a trait I have either, LOL!  In the immortal words of Meryl Streep in Postcards from the Edge, "Instant gratification takes too long." ;)

I think the big difference there is that we have no choice whatsoever... there's really not a thing we can do to speed things up!

Having patience is the ability to accept the fact we can't speed it up.
