I know this post is a bit old, but I stumbled across it and tried out that quiz.

I scored an 11. I "age like a fine wine" too, like Kate. I'm not sure if I should feel happy or confused. Especially with the forgotten cucumber analogy clouding my brain. It's so true! LOL!!!

Kate, you are a gas!

You have blonde hair now right? Streaks can be very high maintenance. They look lovely...but only if you are willing to keep them up!

I'm thinking of lifting the color from my white streaks and coloring them strawberry blond or a combination of strawberry blond and golden blond, and maybe touching up my hairline with strawberry blond from now on, as the white will show this like highlighting, while my natural color will still go to light auburn.

I'm pretty serious about this, so I've already done a strand test, on some hair I had saved away from my brush-cleaning.

I've never thought about streaking my hair.  I have a few blond sun-streaks which only show when my hair's pulled back, or if you look at the locks near my forehead (the ones that would be bangs, if i had bangs).
I got an 8 on that quiz.  So i act like I'm in my thirties, though I'm actually about half that...

well, maybe not, but If I did have dark hair I'd want a white streak.

Haha, I got a 10. Meaning I act 30 when I'm actually 20. Strange, because people often say I look and act very young for my age... but whatever!

That streak thing is awesome! I had a streak of blue in my hair for a while, and I may do it again... it was a lot of fun, and a real head-turner!

Rapunzel, do you still have that streak?

I scored a 9, and I'm 35 so guess I'm on track.

I scored a 9, and I'm 19. But people actually DO say I act old. Bah. I may act old in person but I'm fun online!   Grin

Hey Steph, we really ARE twins!   Wink

I have never let color touch my hair. Ever. I have fried it to hell trying to change the texture and thickness and shape (which I've FINALLY learned better than to do, thank goodness!) but the color goes untouched. My color is the one thing I love about my hair. Shiny medium-golden blonde, baby! I don't plan to mess with the one aspect I love about my hair any time soon. Especially since I'm an anomaly in a family full of brunettes. I enjoy that.   Grin

Steph's blue streak was awesome, though, I will say.   Grin

Looks like I am resurrecting an old post Roll Eyes

I do understand why people (especially ladies) would want to dye their hair a different color (even though I do not agree with it) but I have a very hard time understanding why people want or desire excessive streaks or large areas of their hair colored?

The worst I think is a burnette putting green in their hair Huh

Then I think blonde with red is not very attractive.

To me, it seems like an attraction getting thing but maybe there is more to it?

The closest I have even thought about dyeing my hair is I have wondered what it would be like to be blonde Roll Eyes

I thought that streaking wouldn't make a huge difference to the overall health and condition of my hair so last year I had pretty plum streaks put in and with care they lasted a long time and retained their brilliant shine and hue.  Unfortunately, I also saw split ends occur at a very fast rate.

This year I haven't had any chemical processes done to my hair but I have tortured the hell out of my hair with pin curls, velcro rollers, styling products and heat because I figured that it wasn't a huge loss if I had to cut my hair off again at the length it is now.  It would just be a point of irritation to start all over again.

I adjusted my cut into what I want it to be when it's much longer but I haven't NEEDED trims to keep split ends away.  I haven't had my hair cut in over 3 months and I'm not seeing any split ends, thinning or other signs of unhealthy hair despite all the things I've done. Smiley

Last year I actually took much better care of my hair (no curling, heat, or styling products) when it was long than I did until now, this year.  So that's why I'm assuming it's the streaks that

I've stopped the mad experimentations with my hair because I want to see how far I can go between trims.  I am watching my ends very carefully at least once a week.  I'm just amazed at the difference it has made not to have my hair streaked.  The streaks were also only in the top layer but somehow it seemed to affect the health of all of my hair.

I love the look of streaks in long hair.  I have very long golden blonde hair almost to my waist!  I am gonna color the underneath sections of my hair a strawberry blonde (Red) color so that my long blonde strands will mix in with the red.  I love that combination!  What you do all think of this plan? I will be red and blonde streaked for sure!

Actually, some professional hairdresser did that a few years ago with a long haired model and it looked really good, so good luck!  I think the top was actually blonde with some red streaks and the bottom was a very light brown.  But I think your idea sounds prettier.
