My oh my, we never started a measure thread for February!  OK everyone, get out your tape measures and measure in!

I'm going to wait until April to measure mine, but it seems to be growing again - it is clearly to my hips!

43.5" is fantastic.  A micro trim will only make it more beautiful.  Gotta take care of those splits before they take over  Tongue

OH MY!  2.5"??  Unfortunately, many stylists consider that a reasonable trim.  To those of us growing out hair, that is a huge chunk of hair.

Are you growing out layers?  Did this possibly help even out any layers you had?  (Just trying to find the silver lining here  Cheesy )

I know THAT feeling!  I had a bad trim/cut about 7 years ago and have not been back to a salon since.

i'm not growing out layers but i try to visualize that a big trim=big growth later. even though i know it's not true. how can you trim your hair without a stylist?

I only trim my hair twice a year, and my husband does the trimming  Grin

There is a method for trimming your own hair that works once your hair is about BSL.

Is this the method you had in mind? (I admit,it only worked for me since my hair was about waistlength)
I let all of my hair hang down my back, having brushed all the tangles out before. Then I grab all the hair tightly in one hand,(reaching behind my waist)and bring it in front of me.(Make sure the hair doesnīt move)Now I just cut off a few mms straight across.
I read about this method a few years back, and it enables me to keep my ends very even, without sacrificing lots of length.
Although I think my explanation is not too clear Embarrassed

YEP!  That is basically how you can trim it yourself!  And of course, don't forget to "dust" any split ends that might be higher up on the hair as well.
