I'm 34, almost 35, and I've been a "short-hair" most of my life.  I have been growing out a pixie for 1 yr 8 mos, and my longest layers are just past my shoulders.

My hair color?  Hmmm...good question!  I *think* I'm a natural dirty blonde, but I haven't seen my own virgin hair color in so long, I don't really know for sure.  I've been coloring my hair strawberry blonde and light auburn, so now I have a really cool multicolored mess on my head!  However, I haven't colored my hair since Dec 31, '03!  Woophheee!  I'm sooo disciplined!  It's been terrible watching my roots develop!  I've decided, though, that I'm not going to chemically color my hair EVER again!  (I'll henna-maybe- once I figure out what color my hair is under all this mess!

Hair type?  Very fine, but lots of it.  I also have lots of lovely squiggly greys that are growing in.  Funny, since my hair very straight, but my greys are kinky...go figure!

Products?  I love Nature's Gate, and I've recently become addicted to Lush products.  I also use Burt's Bees products, and sometimes I get cheap and use some Suave conditioner.

Accessories?  I LOVE Longlocks Hairsticks!  I don't really wear them much yet- too many stinkin' layers.  I'm just  collecting them right now (I'm waiting for the US economy to collapse and hairsticks to become currency- I'll be RICH!!)

I pull my hairsticks out of their little silken envelopes and line them up on my bed and admire them- they sparkle in the light- they're soooo beautiful!  We must have more of my precious, musn't we- oh yes! We won't let anyone take the precious, will we?  We must keep the ugly hobbitses away from my precious....oh, sorry...I get carried away sometimes....

My hair goal?  To have hair long enough to wear hairsticks in every day!  Yeah!  I'll need 365 pairs, you know...I wouldn't be caught dead in the same pair more than once a year!  Tee hee!

Bye now!

LOL, Susan would love for you to have a pair of hairsticks for everyday of the year!  Grin

Growing out a pixie requires a lot of patience - I know - I've done it several times  Tongue  Man, I HATED getting all the layers one length.  Hopefully your hair will grow quickly and you will soon be mastering all the wonderful hairstyles you can do with lovely hairsticks.
