Yay. Is your goal classic length?
I'm at 20.75", which is almost an inch in the last month!
But I think I'm needing a trim so I might lose a bit.

At your length you would think just the weight of the length would make it longer each month!  Grin

33-3/8", only seems to have grown 3/8" since last month, which seems kind of odd, as I had to touch the roots up twice during that period, and I do that every 3/8-1/2".

It probably has to do with the measuring learning curve.

I'm at 32.75" - just at my waist, measured from the front hairline back. This is the first official measurement I've made, so I'll have to wait until next month to see just how quickly it grows.

am off to go rub my scalp and stimulate my hair follicles... Wink

Your hair sounds lovely, Cairn. How about posting a photo of it?

I've procrastinated joining this thread for ages because I'm sure my hair is the shortest of all  Roll Eyes But as someone said in another thread, long hair is a state of mind!

So, as of June 1, my hair measures at 17.5".

Happy growing!

Kate;
Don't worry about the length of your hair.  You have the advantage of taking good care of it now, which will make it that much healthier when it gets longer, unlike some of us who did not learn until our hair was already quite long.

Think good, long hair thoughts!  Wink

I've decided that I am no longer going to measure in inches, but by where my hair falls body-wise.  But I'm not going to do this until August, this is so I don't get too frustrated.  Good to see you back leia.

You always have phenomenal growth!  Has it been consistently growing at a fast rate since we've heard from you last?  Do you find it grows faster when it gets really hot in Bangladesh?

Hi! It's so good to be here again. I had some problems getting on this site the past few months - it used to take AGES to load. I switched to Crazy Browser and now it's loading realy fast for me. School is out in a couple of days, but I've been busy with homework and exams. It's so nice to see you all! Hugs!

Actually, during the end of 2003, it was growing quite slowly. There were a few months that I got only 1/4" growth. I think that now that I am under less stress and it is getting hotter, it is growing faster. Does yours grow faster in hot weather too?

We just upgraded our boards and moved to a new dedicated server, so I'm sure that has helped speed things up as well.

Actually, I seem to go through growth spurts in spring and fall... the same times my greyhounds shed! (greyhounds aren't usually big shedders)

Thanks Kate.  Smiley I'd post a picture, but we don't have a digital camera or a scanner. My parents want to buy a digital camera for our trip to England this summer, though, so hopefully soon...

I wish I had some idea of how fast my hair grows. I'm so impatient. I keep wanting to remeasure it, but it's only been a couple days...

Cairn, I felt that way too when I first started measuring! You can measure as often as you want, though. Sometimes I do it mid-month if I've had slow growth, to see if it's getting faster. You can measure every week if you want! Just make sure to keep track of those measurements so you can see how fast yours grows! Next month, my July measure-in will be 1 year after I've been measuring consistently every month. I will be very excited to see how much it has grown over that 1 year!  Grin

After a whole lotta thought and some experimenting with some hair care changes, I have reconsidered my growth goals.  After two really big cuts (one 7" and one 5"), I have decided to once again try to seek my terminal length.  Hubby measured my hair two days ago and it was 36".  Right before I cut it the first time Anne Marie and I had the same length hair, so it will be interesting to see if I can catch up to her or if she'll now always be longer than I am!

Yours in the "bet I change my mind when I'm sitting on it again" devolution,

Rapunzel - how fun to have changing lengths and goals. Keeps you from getting bored  Grin

Are you still measuring from the crown, or are you doing it from the front hairline?

Well,if my hair continues to grow in 'snail-mode' ,you'll catch up soon! ;D ;D
I have had very little growth for the past two months or so,maybe I'm close to my terminal length :P -but then I always thought one sign of that is the hair getting thinner towards the ends ??? But my hair has the same volume throughout,so there might still be hope  ;D  ;D

I only did it from the crown that first time a lonnnng time ago.  Ever since I have joined the throngs and measured from the hairline.

I fell asleep with my hair down last night and right now I'm ready to cut if off again, LOL!

I dunno, they don't seem to be working.  I hate those things and wouldn't mind seeing them go away.  Being an Internet "old timer" I'm a smiley purist and prefer the original kind!  ;)

I'll see if I can get Richard to take a look and figure out where they've gone.
