New Chapsticks and a Quick Bun
Jul 18th, 2004 at 4:41pm

Hello everyone.

Well I finally found time to post several photos here of my latest bun with the "Chapsticks" I ordered a couple of weeks ago. (Inspired by Gollan.) The bun is a little messy but I was in a hurry. I chose these because they were the most tapered and go in eaiser. They hold fine. They seem a little dressy for casual wear but I guess I'll use them when I want to anyway.

That bun looks great and I like your approach to positioning the sticks. I think the lighter colors are more suitable for casual wear. The question is, can you/will you wear these in public? Here in Ottawa, Canada I've been wearing my hair in a bun for months. I recently added hairsticks. Not one comment or overt stare. I once caught a woman trying to sneak a peak at my hairsticks around the shelves at the bookstore (at least that's what I *think* she was doing).

DSW:  Great bun - the sticks look fantastic!  I don't think they are too dressy at all!

Gollan:  I'm guessing the gal checking out your hairsticks was jealous - or maybe she was just admiring the great bun you were able to make with your hairsticks.

Thanks Bikerbraid for your complements. Smiley

Gollan;

I wore this to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant on that day. We live in a VERY conservative area! The front half of the parking lot was reserved for Harleys. I got not one single adverse comment. I think I got a lot of attention though. I think the servers (mostly women) were fascinated; not sure but I think so.

I love rattling the cage a little; you know! Wink Shame on me!!

DSW, you are a hoot.  It sounds like you intentionally try to rattle cages.  Good for you!  My theory is, if you wear it with confidence, people will accept it.

Go for it!

That's a "messy" bun?  LOL!  You should mine :x

I think they look great!  Of course, I might be a little prejudiced O:)

I agree with Rapunzel, where is the messy in your bun?!  ???

The bun and sticks look great, DSW - keep provoking the masses!
