Posts: 6	I know a way to accelerate hair growth Nov 24^th, 2004 at 8:44pm There is a shampoo called "main n' tail" you cna use was originally for horses but works on humans too... wash hair with cold water opens up pores and makes hair grow faster, and cutting just the tips encourages it to grow too... hope that helps people with slower hair growth.

Hair grows in cycles, speeding up in the warm months. Many of us use Mane N Tail without any significant change in growth, and likewise cold water actually may slow it down by decreasing blood circulation. Just a thought. Anais

There is no way to make hair grow faster, unless I guess if you take hormone supplements. Mane n' tail is not even that good for your hair. Also cold water CLOSES pores in the hair.

The results of cold or hot are quite temporary. Cold reduces swelling but closes pores, hot is the opposite.

If you have an injured body part (usually ankles) alternating hot and ice baths can be quite helpful but it won't make your leg hair grow Grin

Cutting to a good line can help the hair resist damage because lonely stragglers are more likely to snap and chap.

I believe best bet for encouraging growth are clean livin' and massage for circulation ... live long and grow 8)...g

I just became a user of Mane 'n Tail by Straight Arrow. My bottles say Miracle Mane, and I use the Shampoo and Conditioner. They're cheap at www.groceryoutlets.com I bought a boatload of them for $1.99 each. The Conditioner makes my hair ultra soft. I love it. A lot of people swear it helps them with growth, it has protein in both products. My hair can take a lot of light protein, so its reaction is great thus far. As far as opening the pores, you must use warm water, cold seals the cuticle and tighten the pores giving that tingle feeling.
