Longer than it's ever been

My hair is currently 13 inches long, that's about the longest it has ever been.  It could have been slightly longer in the 80s but I never measured it back then.  My goal is to get my hair to about the middle of my back.  My mom claims I have long hair so I can wear all the cute hair accessories, especially hair sticks.  Guess what, Mom!  You are right!!

I also love experimenting with my hair.  My first question is, does my hair grow faster if I get it cut on a full moon?

The slim possibility exists that your hair might grow faster during one part of the moon's cycle than another, but this is just something that would just even out over the month. Measuring hair accurately and repeatably is hard enough - trying to measure on a daily basis would be pretty much impossible.

There is no mechanism for your hair roots to know when you have cut your hair and to respond. Cutting has no effect on growth. Only things like hormones and seasons of the year will affect the growth rate of your hair, provided you eat an adequate diet.
