RTG, I think you just put the honey right on your face.  It might get drippy, so protect your hair.  Leave on 15 mins. or so and wash off w/a soft cloth and warm water.

Good Luck!

i have another honey question. i've heard a honey mask is good for clarifying sensitive skin. does anyone have a recipe for a honey skin mask, please?

I mix honey with a regular face mask. I just take the store bought mask and use half the amount I normally would and blend it with an equal amount of honey. I find that way it doesn't drip and you get more benefits. It makes my skin very soft and keeps it from getting really dry. I personally do this once a week and use a mask with green clay.  But any relatively thick mask would work. I leave it on the length of time the listed for the mask. If it's too thick to spread well you can add a little water/floral water/milk to thin it. If it's too runny you can add more mask or honey. Good luck!

I make a hair mask by mixing a teaspoon of honey, 1 egg yolk and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. I leave it on for about half an hour (under a plastic wrap) and then wash hair as usual. Makes it soft and shiny Smiley

I still haven't tried honey in my hair >_>, but this time I really am going to try it tonight, but there are so many different ways to use it!  I don't use conditioner on my hair right now, so I can't mix honey in that, but I do ACV rinse, so maybe I will try that version first.

How many of you leave the ACV rinse in vs rinse it out?  When I normally do ACV I rinse thoroughly afterward, should I not be?  Also, if I miz water + ACV + Honey, and saturate my hair and DO NOT rinse, isn't that going to leave a weird film on my hair?  Has anyone done this?  I saw one poster who said they didn't rinse but I forgot who it was >_<

Also, Khrome, I am SO jealous of your hair, it is GORGEOUS!!!  My hair is the same length (but black) and I have been struggling ridiculously with tangling so I can never wear it down, and yours is amazing and shiny and smooth!!
I'm actually getting kind of depressed about it because it's been so long of the rough tangles that now my hair has split and dead ends all over the length of it.  I think I am going to have to cut like half of it off Cry

anyway I hope honey will make is shiny and softer!  /crosses fingers

OH and I almost forgot, does anyone know what the significance of banana is?  What exactly does it do for the hair?

Hmm,not sure about the banana, sorry.  As for the rinsing of ACV or not to rinse, the choiice is really up to you or should I say what your hair like!  Test both ways and then you can decide.  As for the honey,me personally wouldn't use it because I'm a pescatarian, borderline vegan.  If I did use it, I would rinse.  Just my input!

Hi, Tara.  My wavy hair tangles pretty easily and I've been using Max Green Alchemy scalp therapy.  The conditioner has amazing detangling properties-best I've ever used.
