'chignon' and 'bun'
Jun 25th, 2005 at 3:37am

Is a 'chignon' exactly the same as a 'bun'?  I've been trying to find the answer to this on the web to no avail!  It seems like they are used interchangably, so I can never really tell if something is an authentic 'chignon'.

They are basically the same, however a chignon usually refers to a bun at the nape of the neck.
