Giovanni's Leave-in Conditioner
Aug 10th, 2005 at 5:55pm

Hey everyone  Smiley,

This is my review of Giovanni's Leave-in Conditioner

When I bought this product, I was looking for a leave-in conditioner I could use before I style and blow dry my hair (I do this several times a week, but using only cool air).  I was also looking for something without cones!

So the product comes in a rectangular white bottle and you get 8.5 fl oz (250 ml).  When I opened the bottle I was extremely surprised about the consistency of this product.  This stuff is thicker than most of the conditioners I own!  In other words, you don't need a lot of this!

So anyway after applying the product it was difficult for me to get my paddle brush through my hair in order to start blow drying it.  My hair was not tangled or anything, but I just think this stuff was too thick to be used for this purpose.  So I ended up letting my hair air dry.  Once my hair dried, however, it was softer and shinier than usual.

So overall, this product seems good but not suitable for myself.  It also may be too heavy for those with thin hair (sorry I can't be more exact but my hair isn't real thin).  I may end up using it when I let my hair air dry or as a pre-wash treatment instead  Smiley.

Ingredients: Aqua (purified Water) with Rosemary (Roasmarinus Officinalis) oil, Nettle (Uritica Dioica) oil, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) oil, Birch Leaf (Butela Alba) oil, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilus Flower) oil, Clary (Salvia Sclarea), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Coltsfoot Leaf (Tussilago Farfara), Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) Oil, Mallow (Malva Sylvestris), Horsetail (Equistetum Arvense) Oil, Soybean Protein (Glycine Soja), Cetyl Alcohol (plant derived), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Trace Minerals, Citric Acid (corn), Sodium Hydroxymethylgycinate, Grapefruit Seed (citrus derived).

Thanks, Bardot! I was thinking of trying a Giovanni product and I'm happy to now have an idea of what it's like.

Hi again  Smiley,

I got mine at a natural foods store but you can order a sample (2 oz.) of it here if you wanna try it before buying a big bottle

I love their entire website! I really want to try the leave-in conditioner by Alba now since the Giovanni one didn't work out with me blow drying my hair  Grin.

**You know sometimes when I copy the ingredients from the back of the bottle, they do not match what is posted on the internet.  So be sure to check the ingredients, just in case  Smiley

Try the VITAPRO FUSION SPRAY IN HAIR TREATMENT.  It's a great leave-in conditioner and it's not so thick; it's a spray.  I love it!

I love Giovanni's Leave-in Conditioner!!!!  It can be purchased at any Ulta stores or www.Ulta.com and www.vitacost.com. ; I agree that this product is thicker than any other conditioner but I think that it is worth it.  It works really well with my hair!!!!  I don't ever brush my hair while it is wet.  I always comb it.  I've tried air-drying my hair using this product, and my hair also came shinier and healthier looking than usual too.  I'd say, "You try and use this product!"
