I've tried so many different hair care routines but have yet to find one that works for my hair.  I think my hair is very unusual.  It's curly (medium tightness) and you would think that curly hair like this would have a tendency to be dry but the roots are always greasy unless I wash with a 'drug store shampoo.'  I've tried the Curly girl routine (even bought her specific products!) but still, I need the harsh shampoo or I look like a grease ball.  Very unfun:(  When I try a lot of these home made hair masks and such I just get a stringly mess.  It's like I have curly hair w/ straight hair compositon (if that makes sense).  Help please! <3

Most people with oily heads are usually very successful with a good shampoo every day or every other day. I would reccomend a good shampoo like you are using now. Also, a light conditioner would be good for yuour hair. You can try a few different methods. Some people don't need to condition their hair every time they take a shower. maybe you could condition once a week or twice a week after a good shampoo. 

I guess I have one more question. Is your hair oily mostly at your roots, or do your ends get oily as well? You said your hair isn't dry at all. Wowie! You are a lucky girl I would kill to have my natural oils condition my hair like that!

ok anyway, another suggestion I have is try only conditioning your ends. You may not need to condition your scalp since that is where your hair will be the most oily.

You just have to try different things. It may take a while, but you will find a method that works for you. I'm sure some of these other oily headed ladies here will have some more suggestions for you. Best of luck!
