The only thing I can think of is to scritch.  If you go to http://www.longhairs.com/source/use/horncombs.htm you'll find the directions.  I recommend a horncomb because it is softer than wood or plastic.  You wouldn't want to scratch your scalp and make it more sore.

Something else comes to mind-how hard do you scrub your scalp when washing?  Maybe you're too vigorous.  Be gentle, just lifting the dirt off the scalp.  It is skin, after all and not a cooking pot!

Let us know how you resolve this issue!

I don't have any specific ideas for you - I'll defer to Sakina who has already made some excellent suggestions.  Good luck!

I've been scritching for several months now.  My scalp was really beat up from coloring my hair at the salon.  After coloring it every 6-8 weeks for about a year I decided to go back to my natural color since I'm growing it out and had to have the color stripped out twice in 8 weeks.  I was having sensitive scalp and flakey problems, but they are mostly resolved since I've been scritching.  I scritch twice a day, before I wash my hair and before bed.  It took me awhile to get the hang of it, so you'll learn by doing.  Now, the only time my scalp hurts is if I scrape it with a bobby pin while putting my hair up.

Good Luck, let us know how it goes!!

I have not ordered a magick pak, and we may not be able to for awhile.  If you go to the main page at longhairs.com there is a moving banner-make sure you read it and check back to see if the policy changes.
