Hi all a bit about me
Dec 31st, 2005 at 7:22pm

Well I'm 43 and have had long hair most of my life. It has been longer & shorter than it is now. I am a natural Blond and I have never colored my hair or used sun in or any crap like that in it. I have on occasion highlighted it in the early spring to get a jump on my summer look. I have found that just ocean salt water and sun seem to be the best at that though. I have pics in the picture posting area. It is nice to meet you all. Timber

Nice to know more about you.  Do you usually wear your hair loose, braided, ponytail?  Your profile pic is a great picture showing the natural beauty of your hair.

I almost always were it down, The only time I put it up is if I'm working on something were it is in danger or just in my way. Convertible cars are no fun ether. If I am running or bike riding I put it up too but for the most part I were it down

BICYCLING!!! Grin  My favorite activity.  Yes, loose hair on a bike is a problem.  I always braid my hair when biking.

I'm not blessed with a body type that prefers to be thin.  Undecided  Swimming and biking have always been my favorite activities.

Your hair is very beautiful!  I hope you include flexibility work in your fitness routine...sounds like you've got crosstraining down to an art  Grin.

What is your haircare routine?

Flexibility is definitely part of my routine,
As far as my hair care is concerned  I cut it every 6 weeks to keep it healthy and to keep all the ends neat. My shampoo and conditioner it Shear Blond for Platinum Blonds. I wash it every day because I use hair spay a lot and because I shower every day. I have had the same Hair dresser for almost 20 years to so that helps a lot. When I blow dry it I only do the top and my bangs and let the length air dry, thats how I get my loose curls too. I try not to fight my hair, I groom it with pics and rakes. I have brushes but just use them to dry and style my hair as I dry it.

Great hair, Timber...and great to meet you, too!  I know you'll pick up tons of tips here on how to keep your hair it's healthiest and growing.  Being a member completely changed the way I think about and care for my hair, it's never been in better shape for me.  I Think it's great that you're so active, that's so important to being healthy...mentally and physically.  I started going to the gym this past year and it does wonders for my attitude and keeps me feeling pretty good about my body.  I've slacked off for about two months now because of the holidays and my work schedule, but I fully intend to restart, hopefully this week.  Anyway, I look forward to talking more with you - have fun on the boards!

Greetings and welcome, Timber. Always great to see a long-haired lord join up with all of us women-folk here. Helps even things out, ya know.  Grin

Your look reminds me of James Hetfield of Metallica...but I'm sure you probably get that a lot.  Embarrassed No doubt your hair is in much better condition, though!

You seem very devoted to your mane. By any chance, are you a Leo? Another q: how do you wear your hair while working out? That's something I have always struggled with because a low bun works well for aerobics and most cardio activities, but it gets in the way when I lay down for floor exercises. *sigh* Do you have this same prob? Just thought I'd ask.

Anywho, welcome to the boards, nice to meet you, look forward to seeing more of your posts and all that jazz.  Grin

Don't' worry about slacking off Maggy your body doesn't forget muscle growth  and responds very quickly.

Most of the time I were my hair down while I work out. If it gets in my way  I wrap my braid around it to make a tail. It will loosen up as I work out and fall but I am usually done with that exercise by then.
I am Sagitaian and I love that term

Wow, you're a Sag?  That's crazy, my guy friend is, too--and his hair is to his middle back.  I wonder if there is some connection.

I'm glad when you said that the body doesn't forget muscle growth.  *phew* I only work out at the gym at my school.  That's amazing that you've had the same hair stylist for 20 years.  I'm so talkative to mine.  Your stylist has probably heard a ton of stories from you!
