Greek Lady,
Don't feel like your collection is "showing off".  It is a testament to Susan's artistry and your good taste!

But, if you feel you have nothing to wear the Plum Rose Special Edition PearliStix with, send them my way - I'm know I have something to wear them with!  Grin

What I want to know is if anyone else has seen a pair of sticks so beautiful it actually made your catch your breath and tears well up in your eyes.  I saw one pair that made me gasp, and I was hooked.  I HAD to find a pair for me, and I bought my first sticks.  Then I got a couple of more, but my husband cut me off.  He CLAIMS we have no money.  <snort>  Yeah, right.  Just because we're broke doesn't mean anything.  Wink  I told him if he can't afford an endless supply of hair sticks, then I'm finding a wealthy man to take as a second husband just to buy me some.  lol

There are many of Susan's designs that take my breath away.  I'd love to see the one that inspired you to start a collection.  If you PM me with your "real" name, I can have Susan post your collection so that you and the rest of us can admire your sticks.

Oh no!  I've only seen the first four pages of Greek Lady's collection and I am guilty!    Each one is more beautiful than the next...  Now I know where all those beautiful aqua sticks go.  The white lily bridal stix are just what I need when I renew my wedding vows next summer.  I'm soooo jealous!  But in my heart I know that I should be happy for you, Greek Lady.

OldKathy;
Keep watching for new sticks - I'm sure another pair will show up in time that will be perfect for your vows renewal.  (How many years have you been married?)

OldKathy, first of all from what I can fathom from your gorgeous bun and awesome turquoise hairstick, you are not "old" at all.  Your nickname is misleading  Grin Grin
Second and most important, you do know you can ask for a SO version of an existing hairstick, yes? Something very very similar to the original stick but always with a bit of difference so each pair is not exactly duplicated.
Better still, do what BB suggested keep coming back again and again and surely something will come up that will be even more perfect for your special occasion.

Last but not least : Thou shalt not covet my hairsticks or I shall covet thine!! hahahahah  Grin Grin Grin Grin
Just joking ok?  Tongue

P.S. Yes I do love aqua and turquoise and zircon colours among others. Are you going to be a rival??  Grin GrinAngry Angry Wink Wink

Yes, Greek Lady,  I do know that I can do a special order for a similar pair.  That's what I did with the Hot Tea Silver Stix.  Now I can wear them for Red Hat Society.  I may do a special order later on a pair for my wedding vow renewal.  (It's not till next July)  I just wish that I could be your rival, but I can only afford a pair now and then!  And turquoise/aqua are my favorite colors.

Bikerbraid, after being married before for 18 years, then a heartbreaking divorce, I never expected to make 20 years on this one. (Actually, I never even expected to marry again!) But next July will be 20.  Lots of our friends are celebrating 40!

Congrats on your up and coming 20th anniversary.  That is commendable for a 2nd marriage.  Such an occassion warrants a most special hairstick.  Good luck in finding/designing the perfect stick for your celebration.

Congrats to Galadriel and Malacker who just bought gorgeous sugarstix!  I drooled over both the October Garden and the Blue Butterfly ones, but my bank account wouldn't justify the purchase.  Enjoy them!

Hee - I should probably mention that two pairs in my collection actually belong to my sister.  I bought her Torrid to wear at my wedding (and you can see her blonde self wearing them in the Gallery) and I bought her Picasso's Blues for her birthday.

If Rapunzel has the pics of the rest of my collection, you'll notice those two stick out as being very different.  That's why.   Wink

Thanks for congratulations, OldKathy. SugarStix are soooo bad! Grin (for my budget, for my hair they are absolutely perfect).
I seem to have two "themes" in my collecting: I think I have 4 pairs with butterflies/dragonflies at the moment, and also 4 pairs that feature twisted ribbon beads.

I love the twisted ribbon beads but have not yet been able to snag a pair.  Hopefully I'll find the right ones at the right time soon!

They're definitely worth the hunting- the little twists are absolutely mesmerizing. Susan seems to post pairs featuring these beads quite regularly- you'll just have to be very quick if you want to get a particularly gorgeous pair. Grin

Sakina, I see you bought the Purple Penash pair that I had in my box to order, but changed my mind and bought the Heliotrope Flash set instead.  Hope you enjoy them, they are gorgeous!
