I plan to do a small trim soon to work out some layers. Probably won't measure again for awhile. Too discouraging after a trim

The 3 day weekend is giving me a brief breather before RL runs amok again Wink

Never fear, I am still growing and enjoying long hair Grin

Hey, I just checked for my last measurement -- it was April at 25". So in 5 months (?!?!) I've grown 2.75" of hair. That's what happens when you chill and just let hair do it's thing 8) Oh, and btw, I was talking about maybe trimming in April, and never got around to it. I think I will this weekend. Roll Eyes

Good for you! Take a taylor's tape measure and start at the forehead,drap the tape measure over your head,down the back of your head and measure the longest hair(s). That's your measurement. Either when your hair is wet or dry,just be consistent,choose either way.

That doesn't seem possible somehow, because when I measured it that way, I came out to almost 20 inches...

??? ??? ???

Of course, I measured my hair differently when I first got here...my hair was so extremely short at the time, I actually lifted my hair up away from the scalp to line it up with the tape measure. And I've been measuring it that way ever since to be consistent. That's how I measured it yesterday, and it was 12 inches long. But the distance from my forehead to the end of my longest hair in back is 20 inches.

I'm not sure what my length would have been two years ago if I had been measuring the way you describe. It probably just would have been the distance from my forehead to my neck - not actually the length of my hair at the time.

Now I'm confused. Either way, it's longer than it was. Wink
