for a new look. Has anyone seen Britney Spears she has a very short bob kind of mullet it looks waful. This is her new look now after dumping Kevin.

I never understood why we women cut are hair short the second we get over a relationship lol.

Has anyone here ever done that?

I remember i used to dye my hair a complete different colour but i would never cut it short over an ex lol thats going to far. Grin

I've known a lot of gals who felt the need to "remake" themselves when they were ready to re-enter the dating field.  Changing the hairstyle is typically considered the easiest feature to make a new statement with.  It might be a new style, new color or a perm.

I guess it all gets down to how your feel about yourself and what it takes to regain your confidence.

I read a magazine article a long time ago that suggested changing your appearance if you have a major change in your life.  At the time, I was just starting a new job and decided to take their advice and I got a bob type hair cut that was cut chin length all the way around.  I thought it was a fun change, I wore it wavy and loved the body I had with it.  But my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) was shocked Shocked when he saw my new do and although he wouldn't admit it, I could tell he was very dissapointed.  That's when I realized I was dating a "hair" man. My man is a hair man to Wink

He hates it when i cut my hair.

When i first joined i read that the only way to have healthy hair is to start with healthy hair so i lobbed of bsl hair to a bob and he was upset and angry but hey it has grown back now to my shoulders.

I told him i was growing it and he loves the idea of it being really long he said he loves tailbone hair but classic is to much.

I am aiming for waist so he should be happy with that since i think most people would regard that long

Can't say that I've ever done this, no.

Perhaps I'm just "weird" and haven't caught onto the chameleon syndrome yet.  Undecided  But when and if I ever cut my hair, I do it for myself and no one else, regardless of what's going on in my life.

Of course, I can understand the desire that many women have to look as great as possible after a breakup, because of the message it conveys to the world. They want to be perceived as strong, daring, sexy and show the world that they still have a lot to offer and that they're not the least bit devastated by the breakup.
You must admit that letting your appearance go immediately following may have folks thinking that you're taking it pretty hard.

Most of the folks here know that I am divorced and also broke up with my last boyfriend 4 months ago. And neither event had any effect on my hair. My commitment to growing it long and healthy remained the same as it ever had, as it does to this day. I like to think of it as one of the few steady and constant things that I have in this life.
