So sorry about Shata's diagnosis, but I'm really hoping for the best.  I'm sure the situation is hearbreaking.  I hope you can find reasons to stay postive whenever you can.  I think it will help you deal with it better.  (((hugs)))

thanks,ladies!
I'm waiting for the cotor to call me back with the results of the CT scan. The doctor told me yesterday when we picked her up to go home that she did well and she's a very sweet girl! Smiley
I had much a bad headache when we got home Sadwhether it was a migraine, lack of my cup of coffee, stress of what was going on or all combined together... I took a Maxalt Mlt and felt so much better within a few hours I was ok.
Here's praying and hoping that report is promising.   I did find out yesterday that the med. she is taking for pain is really good for this type of aggressive cancer.  It has shown to either put the cancer into remission or slow the progression. I hope it can put the cancer into remission for Shasta.  How long before I'll know if it can do anything for her??  I'll ask.
More later!

I hope the news is good.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.  I guess that's why I keep having to go back and correct my tupos. I mean typos. Smiley

Well, here's the short version of things...........surgery is not an option.  Radiation 1x a day M-F, 18 treatments for a month.  Anesthesia every time.  Cost $7000.00
Peroxicam-pain med she is currently on. 1x a day for life.  Cost $43 a month.  This med has promising results against the cancer Shasta has.  It has shown to eith put the cancer into remission or slow the progression.
With radiation life expectancy is 1 to 1 1/2 years maybe longer. Also taking Peroxicam.
Peroxicam only, life expectancy is 3-6 months, then things are downhill from there.
I will talk to a woman named Betty who has set up a fund for people who can't afford treatment for their pet.  This is on Monday.  She's out of town until then.
Cry Sad Undecided
As long as Shasta wants to fight,I'll fight along with her, side by side!

Alot has been happening these past few days.  Let me update,ya'll!
I went to the Abilites Expo in NJ on Sat. with my sister.  There was so much there from adaptive clothing to RV's for disabled!!  I went into a class C motor home that this couple owned who were are the show promoting the motorhomes for the disabled.  The company will customize the whole vehicle for your needs!!!  Their fiberglass shop is on their shop site and they make it themselves!  Great option for when C and I move, hopefully in 6 years.
I also tested a few new wheelchairs that I so want!!  The TiLite in USA custom made, you pick colors, features, needs and it's perfectly designed for you!!  It was awsome!  I so want one!   Possibly for Christmas!  They are not cheap, but quality never is!  For the price that I'm thinking it will be, you could buy a really nice used car!  I guess this will be sorta my car,but for the disabled!
My sis and I went to see my father and his wife after the show.  That went better than expected!  We all went out to dinner and then went back to their place to see a few of the pics my father found.  I got to see my great grandfather and his trolley car.  He was a motorman way back in the day!
I also found out my great great grandmother was a professional gambler!!  She was good at it and had luck, too!
Also found out there is Scotch mixed in with the Irish part of me.  Wonders never cease!
We then made it back to Bklyn. at 10pm.  My sis then had to travel back to Queens.  She made good timing.  I was worried about her getting home.
Sunday I tried a new shampoo and conditioner and finishing product.  I had given myself a trim a few days ago, to get rid of the raggedy ends.
I tried Suave Humectant shampoo and conditioner.  Not bad.  I also used Frizz-Ease smoothing creme.  Me likey!!  I needed something to work better than Infusium-23 leave in conditioner for the french  braid I wanted to do.  It worked out very well!  The product leaves no stickiness, tackiness or hardness either.  Good bonuses!
I did use alittle jojoba oil on the ends before the creme.
All in all I'll give this another try to see if my hair is happy.
Shasta is doing well.  She's slowed down abit, but her appetite is good and her spirits are good.  I'm very thankful.
I also some dogs at the show that were canine helpers so to speak for the disabled.  My sister joked that she was going to borrow the pup I should get to help her with house work! lol
Today's weather is cool and very overcast.  A nice lazy day to crochet and maybe sew!
Later!
