Thanks, it gets better.
Even though Medicare will probably cover nothing, hubby's ins. will pay for anything needed.  That's what the rep. said when I spoke with him this morning. Undecided  We may have to wait until July to order, but in the meantime I can have a rep. come to the house to get the ball rolling by picking and choosing what I need & what I want.  Since it will be titanium, with some of the things I need and want, I figure it'll cost around $4000.   Very expensive, but if it'll improve my quality of life, easier to manipulate and give me further independence, hell, that's small beans!!!!!!!!

So the appts. begin and the things I ordered start arriving!
I got the Jenkins handmade knitting needles size 50(these are big jammies!) yesterday.  I want to start broomstick lace things soon.  The first sweater I crocheted needs to be put together.  I already see problems with that.  The pullover hoodie I was making ran out of yarn so I'm waiting for more yarn that I had ordered from Joann.com.  The front and back are done.  I'm working on a sleeve.  Got to do one more sleeve and the hood.  Then piece that all together.
The asymetrical jacket is what I'm working on now.
I'm waiting for AFO socks (ankle foot orthodic),Philosophy Make Up Optional Skin Care Kit,Bermuda Shorts and a Gauze Tunic Top from QVC,hairsticks and Bungee hair ties.  I'm sure there are other things coming that I can't remember! Roll Eyes
Today I go to see a guy that does AFO braces.  He's in the same place that my neurologist is in.  Then there's the eye surgeon, dentist, the guy from TiLite(new wheelchair),neurologist and God knows what else!
I went for blood work yesterday to check my Vitamin D level.  I finished the Vit.D pills on Friday.  We then went Cohen's Fashion Optical to try on new frames for when I get the new script.  I've got about 7 different pairs lined up.  Tough decision.  The store will have a special of buy one frame get the second free.  Ya just pay for the lenses on the 2nd pair.  I figure that'll run about $700 total.  Geez, everything is soooooooooo expensive!
So I'm off to get ready for Stress-A-Ride to pick me up! Roll Eyes

Glasses is always a major expense even if you don't choose expensive frames.  It's such an important decision so I hope you'll be very happy with your glasses.  I don't know how dependent you are on them?  You have a lot going on so I'm glad you're also finding time to do things you enjoy.

How true about the expense for eyeglasses!!
Stress-A-Ride was an hour late, plus I had finished with the doctor early, so I was waiting for alittle more than 2 hours!  Roll Eyes  Plus the driver that picked me up from home that morning was a half hour late!
Two days before when I went to the brace guy, Stress-A-Ride was over an hour late picking C and I up to go home.  Go figure!
On a happier note, I was able to get Ampira, finally!!!  It's a new drug that has FDA approval, but it's ultra expensive(even with the Medicare co-pay). This drug is supposed to help people with MS walk better.  I'm hoping it does something positive for me.  We'll see..........
The wheelchair guy comes tomorrow.  C's coverage can't be used because it is not my primary. Angry It might have to come out of pocket or if Medicare approves an exception, we pay 20% of whatver the cost is.   Sad  The wheelchair Medicare did approve,as per the receptionist, is an alumimum folding wheelchair.  It's heavier and will crack and break over time.  The titanium one that I want may run up to $4000  (sigh) maybe if I pray really hard to the"power that be",my dream will become a reality!

I got one of my new shampoo bars from PrairieLand Herbs a few days ago only to find that I still have half a bar of the same kind in the freezer. Tongue
Aloe Fresh is a nice shampoo bar.
I did twice something I don't think I have ever done before....I totally nixed the conditioner after shampooing!
I first wide tooth combed my hair before getting in the shower.  I shampooed twice with the Aloe Fresh,ACR and that was it except a little Jojoba oil.  I had less hair loss in the shower and when I got out to wide tooth comb my hair.
Maybe part of the difference is that I used 4 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 4 cups of water.  After oiling I bunned my hair and forgot it.
If things keep working fine with this routine, the only conditioner I'll use is a deep conditioner.
I did order the Wen hair care system from the infomercial.  I will use that as a change when I think my hair needs it.
One word of caution though with the CSR at Wen is that there is a club that you're entered into when you order the package you see on TV.  They will send you a 90 days supply at $29.95 per month plus $7.95 shipping.  Ya need to pay close attention when she or he says this because you may not catch the "per month".   Shocked  I'll be cancelling this as soon as the intro. pack arrives  Cool.
Got hairsticks in the mail today.  Purdy!!!! Thanks,Susan Smiley.
Still waiting for something, anything to happen with the new brace and wheelchair.
I did go for new eyeglass frames last week.  They'll be ready soon.  Got transitional lenses, never had them before.  Got a really cute pair of Bulgari frames with crystals on the arms.  When all is said and done this ran alittle over $1250!!! Shocked Shocked
If ever I needed a double shot of espresso after that trip it was then!!!
I still have to order henna, indigo, cassia for C and maybe amla.  I really need some lottery luck with all this going on!  Oh need I say it'll cost $250 for DNA blood work for my pup to find out what holistic care she needs! Shocked

My Wen Hair Care System package came this morning.  I used some of it this afternoon.  For details, see the Hair Products Review section.  Sorry, not to say about it until I am fully airdried! Wink
Getting ready for tomorrow's Father's Day dinner.  I think this is the first time in 35 years that I will spend Father's Day with my biological father.  I always considered my mother's father as my father after my parent's divorced when I was 12.
C is making bratwurst, saurerkraut and onions.  I'll be stearing clear of that!  Fish for me.   I'll so something creative with it.
I'm making zuccini and broccoli with olive oil and onions.
Potato salad and maccaroni salad made with Veganise.
Lots of appetizers and herbal ice tea.
Lots to do!!  C is working a double shift today so I'm on my own to try to clean up the house, bird room, etc. Shocked
My sister and B-I-L are also coming.   My brother is hanging at his new place if he's not working.  He and his girl are still getting things in order.
To further challenge my dexerity, C is getting me an early birthday present.  Since I can't play piano anymore because of the MS symptoms, I am having a Native American flute made by Charles Littleleaf!  I'm totally thrilled with everything about it!!!  I've spoken with Charles' wife Vicky a few times(lovely woman!) and Charles is thrilled and excited that I want to learn to play!
His music and thoughts on life inspire me.  If any of you ladies would like to listen to his music the website is www.littleleafflutes.com
I will be getting an enchanted cedar standard flute,6 holes,G or G#,an eagle block, feathers and a few beads on the straps that hold the block and a thin band of turqoise.  Vicky will make me a flute bag with a tapestry flannel motif.  I made one myself a few nights ago,but I'd rather have her make me one when Charles tells her how long the flute will be.
I am hoping that this new experience will provide many hours of happy flute playing and healing.
In other areas,my grandmothers house is going into contract.  Mixed feelings there Undecided
Mom will be coming in for her birthday to celebrate it with us kids!  Yay!!  Last year for her 70th birthday none of us could make it down there.  So this one will be good!  She's even going to sleep here for a night or two!
The crocheted hoodie sweater is almost done.  I'm working on the hood part.  If I can ever upload or download pics on this new computer,I'll post some long overdue pics of hair, mine and C's, and crocheted stuff!
Back to work!
