Thank you,Angel!  I totally get where you've been and what you've said.
I thought I was a total mess when Punkin and Marshmallow(two male ferrets out of 6 that I had)had to be put to sleep.  This time is going to be a doosie!

Thanks,Trisha!
It's still very painful and new. I can't even talk to family about her on the phone without becoming hysterical.
I feel like I'm being kicked in the gut anytime I go outside and then open the front door and there's silence.  OOOHHH,gotta go I feel the tears coming! Cry

I still get teary-eyed over Ayesha, my lovely German Shepherd, and it's been 20 yrs.  As for Cleo, who died in January, I still don't want to talk about it and try very hard not remember her as she was at the end.  You are entitled to your grief and it is very normal.  You cry just as much as you need to, sweetie.  You won't ever get over it, but you will learn to live with it.  Hugs, Melusine

Thanks,Mel.  It seems that I do alot of crying.  I do believe you're right about not getting over it,but you learn to deal with it........ I feel her near me all the time and that's such a relief.  I have never felt a human's presence near me after they've passed like I do hers.

I got the call a few days ago that Shasta's ashes are back.  I'll pick them up on Sunday, seeing that C is working so much now and I can't get to the vet's . Sad
My flute is finally on its way!!!!!  Hooray!!!!!  It'll help me with the healing process.  Keep my mind busy.  Even though the cat is here and the birds are here, it is soo quiet and lonely without Shasta.  It's a big void for sure!
Since MS has caused me various set-backs,like playing the piano Angry, I figured I'd learn how to play the Native American Flute!  Hey, as long as this disease is going to take things away from me, I'll just find something else I can do!
I ordered my henna and indigo.  That came today.  Boy those pesky  silver greys are really coming in faster than I'd prefer!
I also ordered a flute stand.  If I don't get the flute bag with the flute like I am supposed, I'll just make my own.
Sat. I'll be heading out to my sister's for the day.  She'll come back with me and sleep over Sat. and Sunday.  C will be away at work so the company will be nice. Smiley
It's about 2:30 am here so I'll get to sleep!
Ciao!

I'm sorry you have to wait to get to the vet's.   Sad

Great news about your flute!!!  You have a great attitude about your MS.  Connecting with the breath like you must to play the flute will help with grieving.  (((hugs)))

I hope you have a nice visit with your sister!

Thanks, Sakina!  Pranyama is going to be an asset for me!
Heck, the more this disease aggravates me, the madder I get!   It's in a good way though because it makes me perservere and be creative in ways to either overcome the problem or find ways to deal with it.

Angel, you motivate and inspire me!!  You go, chica!!!

May I ask, what will you do with Shasta's ashes?  We have a little pet cemetery at the edge of our back yard, where the woods begin.

I saw a little stone in the Catalogue Favorites and Potpourri catalogues that said "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."  It would be very nice for Shasta's memory.  I was thinking of getting it for my 3 cats I have lost in the last 3 yrs.  It would look lovely beneath the Rose of Sharon.

Trisha, there is a plan. Since we don't own the place we are living in right now,  Shasta's ashes, the birds, ferrets and rabbit's ashes are all going to be combined with my ashes.  Don't know where we're going, but it'll be good!
Mel, I think that's a great idea.  There are things I want to get,but don't want to get them hastily.  I plan on making a huge shadowbox with Shasta's things in it(some of them, she had tons because I spoiled the hell out of her!) a gold locket so I can wear it with her pic in it and some of her hair,a really beautiful urn for her, too.  In time......in time.

That's a lovely plan, Curlgirl. I wish I'd done the same with my cat but in the fog of grief, I buried her instead. Embarrassed She's in my parents' backyard next to her youngest son.
