changing the routine a "tad"
Nov 13th, 2007 at 6:02pm

I went back to oiling and washing my hair 3x weekly.  My hair was just getting too gross by the end of the week.  I have started oiling the nape area (underneath) when I oil the rest of my hair.  That is working marvelously.  The nape area was sooo dry, now it is actually becoming soft and shiney.  And my hair has stopped "puffing out".  Weather does weird things to my hair  Roll Eyes

I'm happy this change in routine is working out for you!

For me, my hair isn't too affected by the weather, but my skin is. Drier weather = flaky scalp. Tongue

Curly hair is always at the mercy of the weather.  I'm washing more often because I'm oiling more myself.

I've also noticed that if I oil the nape I get less tangles there.

My thoughts exactly Sakina.  My nape area was sooo dry it was causing my hair to "poof" at the collar.  It is starting to lay down smoother now.  I am going to continue this routine to see if more improvement is made.  I still dont know what to do about the tangling tho.  I will continually do s & d b4 I oil.
