Lisabelle's Hair and Stuff
Jan 1st, 2008 at 9:25am

Dear Hair Diary,

Well its a new year and I wishing everyone health, happiness and great hair growth! Cheesy

Yesterday we needed to get a part for our car so we went to the dealership.  I had a ball!  I sat in all the cars and played with everthing!  It was a Volvo dealership as I have a 20 year old 760 T.  All the cars there were 30,000 dollars and up the most being a 75,000 dollar convertable. Volvo dealerships are so sweet without be too posh.  They gave us coffee and catalogs, what a nice place!

Whenever a Canadian soldier dies in the middle east and his remains are flowen home to CFB Trenton I always say a prayer. Cry  At about 11:00 at night the plane will fly over my house as I'm two hours away from the base.  I wish this war was over and I pray we would just pull out of it....

Well it snowing like mad and it time to do house work. Tongue

bye for now

Lisa: My brother got shipped out 2 days after christmas. He's in Kuwait for a few weeks getting used to the climate, before being shipped to Iraq. I agree, I wish this war would end soon, before anybody else dies. :/

anyway, happy new year!

Dear Hair Diary,

Man it's been cold!!!  We had -12 yesterday. Eeee!!  We had to go out and drop off an old tv and mircowave at the dump, then get food and other stuff and true to form, my car gets sick.  Happly we got home and hubby fixed it so we could continue on.  For the cold I protected my hair with two hats under a woolen hijab, and then a cowl to cover my face up to my eyes. I then put  Elizabeth Adrens extreme cream around my eyes.   Whew!  Lastnight it was -17 so we all cuddled under a big fleecy blanket, bunny included!  Cheesy

Picked up some almond oil yesterday and did a hair oiling.  I had read somewhere that for my hair type almond oil would be good.  My hair sucked it right up.  I also bought my shampoo too, thing is Jason is going through a packaging change, according to the store I buy it from so they did not have the one I ususally use which was the Sea Kelp one.  Now I have tryed the Biotin one from Jason and I had to give it away as I was getting rashes on my forehead from it.  So I picked the Henna one, haven't tryed it yet but will do today!  Smiley

Hubbies at work (praise Shiva!) and I get to do my workout, I'll do the Bellytwins Core workout (oh a tough one)! Shocked

bye for now! Cool

That's exactly the smiley I was imagining when I typed that!!!

Your candles look really cool.  Will it stain the wax or do you leave the paste on permanently?

I have two Zen clocks-LOVE them!  They're the best alarm clocks EVER!!!

Hehe! Grin Right on!
Thanks!  You leave the paste on permanently, now I know there's a way to seal it on but I haven't found out how. Undecided  I don't thing it stains the wax, mind, if done on wood, leather or fabric it does stain.  People do it on drum skins, pictures fames and stuff.

The Zen clocks are so neat!  I use mine to bring me out of a mediation. Cool

Dear Hair Dairy,

Today is wash day.  The weather has warmed up and all the snow is melting.  The humidity has made the house really cold!  I've got the heater candles going to get the chill off.

I've been having fun with henna! Pitctures to come! Hubbies back to work so I've got time to do my dancing Cheesy!

Oooh watched "The Seventh Seal" lastnight at around 1 am.  I haven't see it in years. At the end hubby came into the room with one of my black scarfs around his head.  I just about died!  I screamed and threw hairtoys at him! Grin  I told him he's going as Death for Halloween next year!

Anyway I'm having a hard time getting going today.  Its one of those dark days you just want to sleep...(kicks self in butt)

Dear Hair Diary,

Today I did my zill practice and basicly took it easy.  My back has been killing me and Aunt Flo doesn't make matters any better....

Had a wierd dream about being in a haunted haunted house and then going outside and seeing a train stuck in suspened animation at the rail road tracks.  I took a look around it and the minute I stepped off the train it came back to life to to speak and sped off, strange!...

Hair needs a clarify, I'll do that on Saturday.  On Sunday I have my SIL's engagement party, well sort of, they want to met at Pizza Hut out side of the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) I know these people are strange....

Anyway bye for now!...

Dear Hair Dairy,

Was down most of the day yesterday with cramps but was able to wash my hair.  I did a clarify and my hair came out really nice. Later after my nap we went out food shopping and I got some Olay Classic beauty fluid!  I love it!  And so does my skin!  The scent brings back so many fun memories.  My mother knew a lady she woked with who told me that if I wanted to look beautiful I was to wash my hair with herbal essence and put oil of Olay beauty fluid on my face.  It's the same pink lotion and it does come in a crème form, which I am dying to try next.  I remember years ago being fed up with the skin crème I was using and went to the drugstore to get the beauty fluid only to find they had changed the formula.  So I bought what they had and it gave me a rash!  Angry  So the old lotion still rocks!  I wish it came in the old glass bottle.  I was lucky to get one as there was only two bottles left!  I guess word got out! LOL! I remember when Olay had there makeup line.  I loved the lipsticks, they had a good feel and taste to them. The mascara was good too!  Sadly they ended the line.

Tomorrow were going downtown for the engagment meeting thingy..whatever.  Huh

Anyway I'm off! Smiley

Bye for now!

Dear Hair Dairy,

We went downtown to the engagment thingy.  I got to see my SIL A's place which was kinda neat.  We went to the resturant where A's boyfriend works.  Good food!  When I walked in I could tell the place was haunted.  I went to the washroom and saw a lady in 1800's clothes on the stairs.  Later I mentioned it to A's boyfriend and he was suprised I picked up on it as the place is known to be haunted.

Now here something I have to look into.  My neice M has an imaginary friend, okay that's normal.  However, M was not told her mother was pregnant.  She said her imaginary friend told her in a dream that mommy was pregnant.  This freaked out her mother.  I'm like okay this needs to be checked out.

Anyway time to clean the house and bellydance!

bye for now...

I've always been able to pick up other worldy vibrations, see ghosts and spirits.  It's a normal thing for me.  My Dad who was a no nonsense guy and whose favorite phase was "Bulls*%t!" Could detect parannormal stuff too.  Thing is this imaginary friend does worry me a little...

Dear Hair Diary,

I'm loving my Olay classic lotion!...  It works well under makeup and makes my skin feel soft and not dry yet not oily and gross!

Dancing went good.  I did my Bellytwins core workout, my shoulders always hurt from doing the weights.  My balance is geting alot better.  I'm still 140lbs.  I thing it is because the its winter that I cannot loose more weight.  Hopefully the summer will be better!

Been playing with different updo and did a S&D lastnight.

At the moment were very broke and I hate it!  Hopefully that will change.

Bye for now!

*nods* Yup, the 6th sense runs in my family too. I have it, my father has it, his mother had it...

Perhaps what your neice is talking to is not just "imaginary."

You know, that's a good point...I wonder how many children talk about an "imaginary friend" when what they are seeing is actually a spirit?

Angel, Trisha: I agree, it's a good chance it is a spirit.  Sometimes it a harmless one, like it could be a grandparent or an angel . Or it can be a something unspeakable. Shocked  The feelings in there house is a little unsettled  but not "spooked" as far as I can tell.  When I see my neice again I'll talk to her and see what I can get.

I had an "imaginary friend" of sorts as a child. Her name was Samantha and she had long, gorgeous black hair.  Smiley  She also had pale skin and turquoise eyes like me. Makes me wonder if she was a figment of my imagination or a reflection of my spirit. Or maybe I just made her look the way that I wished that I looked...  Roll Eyes

But children are typically more receptive to those "other wordly vibrations" than adults. So who knows?

Dear Hair Dairy,

Well I rested and pamapered myself yesterday.  My back feels a little better today so I'll do my walk. The only thing that has me stressing is the school kids outside.  I hate them, ugh!

My paranoid neighboor K came over lastnight to use my computer.  He changes his pasword monthly and this time he forgot what he changed it to.   Oye vey ismir!  Then he locked himself out and we had to break him back into his place. Angry  Apprently he needs a operation (man stuff) and is on medication, thing is thought he's drinking on top of the meds.  I feel bad for him and I don't, its strange Lips Sealed

Did some henna lastnight on my hand, can;t wait to see how it turned out.

Bye for now!

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs been silky soft!  I've been spraying it with water mixed with jojoba oil that I scented and its really working out well.  Lastnight I was in pain... Embarrassed  My hip was just screaming.  But a nice rub down helped (thank god!)  I did got for my walk yesterday.  I did half and hour in the morning and half at night.  The school kids were around the corner braking up some garbage in the street and being rude to cars driving by.  I was thinking not today!  But they knew who I was and moved out of my way and did say a word.  They know they can be suspened for bothering people on my block, the little butt pains.  ...

On other fronts the henna I did on my hands is still going!  It went black after the first day and is fading very slowly.  I started using an AHA cream to help it fade.

Tonight is pizza night!  I get a whole wheat crust pizza with veggies!  Yum!! Cheesy

Bye for now!

Hey Lisabelle,

Just thought I would drop in, check how you are doing and say HI!!  Ya, school kids can be soooooo bad.  I live in the middle of nowhere and one of my neighbours keeps getting egged and some houses have been broken into (videos and booze stolen so you know it is kids since they took no jewelry etc).  I figure I am safe from break in since the kids seem to be hitting houses that have teenagers in them (as in they have been in the houses to case them) plus I have a really noisy alarm system and neighbours that are home all the time and keep an eye on me.

Dear Hair Diary,

Yesterday was babysitting. Sad  I had a good time but still, who the hell leaves there 3 year old to go tramping around? Boils my blood!  We were suposed to stay overnight but hubby said no way!  He went back this morning to help his mother.  My neice has been acting very bad and mom just can't cope anymore. Oye....

Anyway its been very cold -17c.  I froze!  My poor hair!  When I got home I oiled the whole thing, it feels beter now.  My skin was just screaming, thank god for Aveeno!

During a quite time, I spoke to my neice about her Imaginary Friend.  He's a yellow and white cat called Mugga who come in her dreams.  He hasn't frightend her or anything... So it could be a spirit, I need more case info on this.  I do know that her evil grandfather's ashes were kept in the house for a few years.  I don't know what they did with him.  Must check this out further. Case log still open...

Well, I'm off to clean my messy house and do laundry. Woopie do! Tongue

Dear Hair Diary,

Couldn't sleep lastnight.  I had a nagging sore throat that kept me awake. Tongue  Its been so dry and that hasn't helped nor has the humidifyer. Sad  So now I'am having a cup of tea.  I did use some throat spray (god that stuff is gross).  I am out of my herbal throat drops. I use Thayers slipper elm drops, they really help.

Talk about dry!  I oiled my hair and it just sucked it up.  I washed and let it dry and hubby said it looked like it needed more moisture, rats!  So I've been using my oil and water spray a few times a day.  My skin is not impressed with the dryness either.  More lotion!

Watched Paranormal State last night.  I think they made a mistake with the native spirit they were dealing with.  From what I was taught you do not mess with things you do not know about.  Alright, they got some natives to help them but, they did not listen to them, not good. They just went ahead and did what they wanted to do.
Undecided Lips Sealed

Any who I'm going to crank the humdifry up and see if I can get some sleep

So you too huh?  I've been going through the same thing here with dryness and I've been going through lotion like crazy.  I even have to keep water on my night stand because my throat has been getting very dry as well.

I hope we all find relief soon. Smiley

I hope we do too. Tongue  My sore throat is now a nasty cold...  So I'm taking aspirins, Buckleys Mixture and Recola cough drops.  I do the herbal thing when I'm sick.  I find it works better for me.

If you can - try to add humidity to your air.  It will help with your sore throat as well as your skin.  A couple of ways to do this:
  • run a humidifier
  • have lots of plants indoors
  • keep a warm kettle of water on the stove
  • if you have a fireplace or wood stove, add a kettle of water near the fire

Hope  you feel better soon.

Hi Lisabelle,

It is cold here too.  How about snow storms this year?  Do you get snow storms?  Heck, we had one where we got 4 feet!!!!  I am reminded of people on this site complaining about the heat in the summer.  Heck, I HATE winter.  The sun is only around from about 8 am until about 4 pm, the driving is terrible, the cost of snow removal (my driveway is about 130 feet by 40 feet so doing it by hand is not happening) is killing me.  I hate the whole different wardrobe and all that.  PLEASE SUMMER, COME BACK!!!

Sorry you have a cold.  I dunno about where you are but here the temps have gone from +10 to  -20C overnight.  I think everyone is getting sick.  Hang in there.

I used to just hate the hot summer heat (anything over 90 degrees) but now I am hating the very cold winter Tongue

I used to cross-country ski and went sledding so I do not mind the snow unless I have to drive in it.

But the bitter cold is something I am really getting sick of.  Bitter cold to me used to be like -20 but now 20 or lower degrees is very cold to me now.  And then there are the wind chill factors Shocked

I hate it so much I am thinking of one day moving to a place like maybe somewhere in New Mexico or possibly lower Colorado (even though it can get cold in that region too but for not as long).

This past weekend we were around -14 and some places very close to us even got down to -35 Shocked

Thankfully it might get up in the high 30's Sunday so if it does it will feel like a heat wave to us Roll Eyes

Thanks Joey. Angel and Jerry  Smiley ...

I went to my shrinks today and found that he's moving his office to the new hospital.... Not good, it's on the other side of town, two buses away(bugger...)  And its in the G-ward of the hospital no less.... I don't like the idea but there nothing I can do.  His offices are shutting down and he's beening moved thanks to the old hospital being closed. He had his office in a building off the hosptial grounds.  I told him if I have to deal with mental patients I'm not coming anymore.  He said no, they are on the other side of the building and not to worry... ...

Anyway I had a shower and feel a little better, hopefully this cold will be gone soon as I have a play to go to a this weekend.

Cheers! Cool

Well, I'm feeling a little better today, still got the cough though....  Hubby woke me up at 5 o'clock this morning snooring away... Tongue  So I got up and had a tea and got on the computer.  I put bunny on my lap as ususal.  Well it wasn't long before bunny desided to pee on me. Shocked Cheesy  Little bugger! Grin

Today is more rest, at least my fever is gone.  I started writing again so I'll do some of that.

bye for now. Wink

Lisabelle,

I am glad you are feeling a little better and sorry your bunny was naughty!!

Sorry to hear about your shrink moving and the hassle it will be for you to get there but OUCH about the comment about "mental" patients!!!!  Heck, if you are seeing a shrink you are a mental health patient!!!  You know, they don't let the Charlie  Mansons walk around the building free!!!  Really, having to go to a hospital for an appointment is not that bad from the point of view of patients!!

Dear Hair Diary,

Well I started my workouts again.  I gained three pounds when I was sick Embarrassed Tongue Cry.  I did a half hour walk this afternoon and an other one after dinner.  Then I did my back streches and 30 sit ups.  It feels good to not be sick anymore! Cheesy

Been trying to do a low bun but it doesn't look right Undecided My hairs very fine and  I cannot use my bun rats anymore as my hairs too long! Grin Hopefully I can figure it out as I want to wear my hair like this for my SIL wedding in September.

I don't know if I'm liking the Jason Henna shampoo, I usually use the sea kelp one.  I would like to try the super mosturzing hemp poo and condish.  Some of these things are hard to find as lots of stores do not carry the whole Jason line.

Anyway it bed time!

Lisabelle, one of my students gave me a prefilled mehndi cone.  I want to put it on my skin Thursday night.  She told me to put sugar and lemon on the paste after it dries.  What do you recommend I do to cover it for sleeping?  I'd appreciate any/all of your suggestions-you're my mehndi guru!

Mehndi guru!  I like that! Smiley Cool  Okay here's what you do after doing the suger lemon juice thing let the mixture dry till its tacky then lay down some unrolled cotten balls on the design, it will stick to the lemon suger mixture then wrap in good old toliet paper!  The cotten helps keep the paste on the skin and prevents it from coming off and all over your bed sheets, husband..etc.  Get the cotten balls and eventhing ready and at hand before you start.  Now, if you've done you hand after the TP warp place a nice big sock over it (have hubby help) Wink mine knows the drill.  For feet, same thing.  Keep yourself warm, have a nice cup of tea then off to bed!  And, if your like me and do your boobs Grin again with the cotten then put on a soft bra.  Oh and here's what I do to make the lemon suger mix - I take about half a cup of lemon juice fresh or bottled out in a heaping tablespoon of suger and mircowave it for about a minute or so.  I let it cool before using.  If you need anymore help let me know.  Its my pleasure to help!  Oh and take pictures! Dear Hair Dairy,

Need to wash tomorrow. I have to do my heat cap treatment as I missed it when I was sick.  I think I will use my Alma oil mix.

Holy smokes!  I won a Bellytwins T-shirt!  I get there newsletter and they have a contest ever month and I won it for next month,  just in time for my b-day!  I'm soo tickled!

I did my walk again today, I think I will start dancing again tomorrow.  All my Henna has faded so I think I will do more.

Anyway I'm off! Cool

Thanks soooo much!!  In the past I've gotten mehndi done by a couple of ladies so when I got home I put plastic bags on to sleep.  It makes a mess, and the mehndi that falls off gets color on places it isn't supposed to go.  I never would have thought to put cotton on it!  I can hardly wait til Thursday to try it!!!  Should the sock be loose?  I won't be doing my boobs this time-my students specifically requested to see what I do.  I'll keep it in mind for the future, though.  Hmmm, maybe one of my Halloween Party themes will be body art.  Hmmm  Cool  Shockedi  Thanks for the idea!!!

Dear Hair Diary.

I washed my hair yesterday and it came out nice and soft.  Having a little frizz trouble with the ends. I have been doing S&D’s but maybe I need a trim? Haven’t given myself one in a long time. And like Samson I don’t want to cut it but maybe I should.  No way am I going to a hairdresser.  Maybe hubby will do it?

One thing I like to do once in a while is apply Kum kum powder to the part in my hair.  Hindu ladies do this to signify marriage. The powder is a deep red and looks great against dark hair.  I like the way it makes having my hair parted look less marm-ish.

I did 100 sit-ups!  I’ve been doing 30 a night for a while and today I did not feel like dancing so I did a stint of floor exercise and among them was the sit-ups.  My abs are sore but it was worth it.  Hopefully I can get rid of my muffin top soon. It was sooo windy yesterday!  I had to chase the garage bins down the driveway.  Then one rolled down into the marsh.  Bugger!  So here’s me climbing down a hill to go fetch a bin that stuck between two trees twenty feet down a slope.  I was getting blow around so bad I thought we were going to have a tornado! Hubby said next time just leave it and he will get them. Mind you they would be in Oz by then.

I did some henna on my hand.  I just did a little doodle. Once it’s ready I’ll post it.

My neighbor K has been to the new hospital last week for test and told me the place is truly as horrible are people are saying.  He ate food at there café and got really sick.  He had to wait four hours to get his tests and then the doctor was not available to talk to him.  He has some scary man problems, poor guy. The place is understaffed so badly it an atrocity. Any way after that I thought fine, if something happens to us (Allah forbid) were having the ambulance take us to the hospital in the next town.

Bye for now!

Yes I bellydance too. Wow I would love to have been taught in the middle east.  Right now I have no teacher.  I use DVD's.  Not many teachers in my area.

Dear Hair Diary,

Here we flipping go again!  My landlord, in his infinte wisdom, was trying to plow the lot yesterday.  We got alot of snow.  Now if you remember, last snow storm the truck broke and we had to dig ourselves out.  Well, dumb bell strikes again!  This time he trys plowing and forgets to raise the plow and hits a tree root and breaks the plow!  I was watching this from the window in utter disbelief. Can you say dumb arse!  So instead of getting someone else to move the snow (Allah forbid he spends some money)  He just leaves it. So here's me out there making a parking spot for my car with a broom...  Thankfully hubby came home early and moved the three foot mound of snow from the entrance of the lot.   Right now my back is sore as hell.   Embarrassed

On other fronts hubby is off babysitting for the morning. His sister has to get a sitter, she can't keep thinking were gong to drive 80 miles everytime she wants to go out and have fun.  I told hubby get gas money from her!  Crap, gas is $1.09 a gallon! Tongue  She needs to learn that nothing is free...

Ah, sorry for ranting Embarrassed

Oh I got to measure my hair today!

Well, I'm off!  Happy Ground Hog day! Cheesy

Dear Hair Diary,

Looks like I might be getting bellydance lessions this spring!  The cities parks and recs catalog has them listed this year.  Prices are alot better then the studio's and I can get to these classes alot easyer!  I figuered I needed some instruction on what I'm doing.  It can be fun and not as stressful as a studio IMO.

Well I'm off to clean then wash my hair.

Cheers! Cool

I just finished my workout, sweaty!  I did the Belly Twins Core workout and just about shook the bells off my hipscarf!...  It like dong the choo choo shimmy!...

Hubbies in bed sick today poor thing.  It's the same cold I had and the only way to get rid of it is to sleep it off.  I'll make him some soup when he gets up.

We watched "Ratatouille" light night.  It was fun and I enjoyed it very much.  I would not call it a little kid cartoon at all.  It's more for grown ups.

Anyway I'm going to relax...

Probably best to leave him be as much as possible. Most animals don't like to have company when they're trying to die. Fussing over him too much will put unnecessary stress on both of you. I pray that his (and your) suffering will soon be replaced with peace and relief.

Light and grace.

I'm feeling better. Smiley  Bunny is resting next to his bed.  He's not acting as painful and has settled down.

Need to wash my hair tomorrow.  We are getting hit by a huge snow storm right now.  It was at a foot when I went to put out the trash at 9 o'clock.

Anyway, I would like to thank you all for everything.  I love you guys! Smiley Kiss

Dear Hair Diary,

Doing okay today.  I cute down my fingers nails and have hennaed bracelets on my wrists.  Hubbies been really nice to me through my mourning.   He let me henna him this afternoon.  I did a knights shield on his forearm.

Tomorrow is my party and I hope there's no fighting between Mum and S.  S is upset cause now her ex husband wants to lower the child support he's been paying (almost $3,000 a month for one child)  That's alot and S has been spending it wildly not saving so that's why she's pissed I think. Also she says we do not give her b-day parties!  What bull!  We did last year, I made her a homemade cake, got her flowers and all.  Mine you, she told me to take the cake home, of which is rude.  I though OK if you don't want it wait till I leave then break it up and feed it to the birds.  I wasn't that hurt bit now its strange that she says we did nothing for her b-bay....  Like I said she BATS!  Don't worry, I'm not fretting over her stupid sh*t....

Otherwise I've kinda meloncoly at times but what can you do? Listen to the Smashing Pumpkins...loud.

bye for now

Dear Hair Dairy,

Had my party yesterday, the food was horrid Undecided  It was really crappy sushi followed with a cake that had Splenda in the icing....ugh... Tongue  Even hubby was turned off.  I got some clothes and some bath stuff.  Mum and S fought as usual.  What else is new.

Have to wash my hair today and I will try out my new bath stuff as well.  Weve had lots of rain which helps wash away the snow.  Thing is I'll need a canoe to get to the laudery room on the other side of the house! Cheesy

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs been behaving, I’ve been experimenting with wearing it down.  I pulled the front back and make a braid and leave the rest loose.  I still bun it for house cleaning and working out.

Been doing lots of henna lately.  I did my wrists, my feet and the palm of my right hand.  Here’s a shot of my feet.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/22331106@N03/2281958846/

I know it’s only been a week since Bunnicula died but I am looking forward to another bunny.  I would really like a dog but we are not allowed to have them here. Nor would I get a cat with my budgie.  This is funny!  This morning at about nine o’clock, I was woken by something hitting my bedroom door.  Then I heard what I thought was my budgie.  I opened the door to see my budgie perched on a chair outside my door singing! It was so cute!

Did my workout today – core conditioning - whew its tough!  Advil time!  I find the dancing helps with my over all balance and makes me feel stronger.  I don’t think I will be getting the bellydancing lessions this year.  There’s just not enough money right now.  It’s the slow season for hubbies work which is such a bummer.  Tongue

Anyway I’m off!

Thanks Sweetie!  I've never been there before and the place is huge.  I do have a map of the place and will be packing water, gernoal bar, medications and a travel pillow.  I think the last time I was on a bus was 2003?

You probably will not read this until you get out of the hospital so I hope your trip there went well even though going to the hospital is never fun no matter what a person is going in for (I know because I am speaking from experience).

Thanks Jerry!

Well it took a while but I got to the hospital okay.  The place is a maze, even with the map you can get lost.  Thankfully someone showed me to my shinks office.  He now has to share wth five other shrinks.  Gone is the nice office with leather chairs and lovely pictrues of India.  The room was small, cold and sterite.  We both were uncomfortable.  I could tell my shrink was not too happy with the situation an suggested he buy a house and run his practice from there.  Other wise everthing went good. Dear Hair Dairy,

It’s been very dry and cold so I’ve been doing extra oilings.  I have also had to up my skin crème to the thicker Olay one. And have been layering on the Aveeno like mad.

Been being razzed by nasty people lately…...  I try to be nice to everyone I encounter but there are just some people who are born rotten!  It makes me sad and pissed off as well.  Hubbies been home early almost every day this week, of which has also had my nerves on edge.  Blah!  I wish I could go to a deserted island for a month and just relax…. Alone!...

Watched “The Taming of the Shrew” the other day and enjoyed all the nice snoods the ladies were wearing.  Make me want to get out my threads and make some more!

I'm in the middle of yet another ebay dispute...fun!

Anyway I'm off!

Yikes!!!  Spins are my weakest thing, which of course means I need to practice them more!  Roll Eyes

Try some heat and gentle stretching-don't let those neck muscles freeze up on you.  If you can get a chiropractic adjustment that would be a big help.  You don't want to lose range of motion in your neck!!!!!

I just got the nicest black silk veil from www.flyingskirts.com, its funny I suppose, I've been thinking about working on veil and spins.  I'll be careful!!!

BTW, you said you were dizzy after- did you unwind yourself??  That makes you undizzy faster.

Take care!!!

Dear Hair Diary,

Toes are feeling a little better today. Still sore as hell which makes walking a pain.  Washed my hair yesterday and did a clarify.  On the weekend I am going to do a coconut heat cap treatment.  This has been such a dry Winter. Tongue

Anyway I'm off to do one legged house work! Grin

Dear Hair Dairy,

My toes are doing okay.  My hip hurt like a big dog yesterday.  It was the frist time I had to take two advils in one day.  Talk about being stoned!...

I've been thinking about the old Renn Fest we use to have.  I wish we could have another one.  There's one in Ohio and one in Maryland which would be fun but I need passport, exit card blah blah blah.  Money would help too!...

And now that my hair is longer and I lost weight I would look really nice.  Oh well, maybe someone will try an make another one, I hope....

Anyway I going to get some more zzzz before starting my day...

You get stoned from just 2 Advils? Oh honey...you would not survive in my shoes. LOL I have to take at least 3 to kill a headache. And there have been times where I've had to take 20 at once.  Shocked
What really stones me out though? Benadryl. OMG...  Tongue

Anyway, hope your various ailing body parts recover soon and you're able to walk, dance, clean, etc. without any pain.

While it can be tough to figure out how to manage curly hair, it is really fun to have in my opinion.

I like your new avatar-I had to double check the name several times since this is so different color wise from your last.

Dear Hair Dairy,

Washed yesterday and my hair is so soft!  I did a emu oiling the night before wow it feels great!

And now for some sad news:

My SIL A's flat burned down there other night.  Thankfully they were not home, but there cat, Snack Bar, did not make it. Cry There staying with friends in city right now.  I've been gettng together clothes and stuff for them.  The poor things are to be married in September and now they have nothing. Cry  Fire is my worst nighmare, the fire was started by a child playing with lit candles on a bed.

Anyway I'm off.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL.  I think losing all of your belongings in a fire or any other disaster would have to be everyones worse nightmare, but in the end it's all just stuff (not including the pets, I know that's tough). Fortunately, they weren't hurt so eventually they'll come out okay.  You take care and try not to stress too much.

OMG, poor cat!!  Cry

And contrary to what La Diosa said, it most certainly is NOT all "just stuff" in the end. Having lived through several fire threats, I have had to prioritize belongings in terms of what I could bear to part with in an emergency and what I absolutely needed. Certain things cannot be replaced. Ever. So I can completely sympathize with the total devastation they must feel. That's a sucky way to start married life.  Sad

I'll save a prayer for your SIL and her fiancé, Lisabelle. Hope they are able to recover and rebuild as much as possible.
As for a silver lining, they will at least have a story to tell in years to come, and I'll bet they make something really wonderful out of nothing.

Wow, I didn't mean to come off as unsympathetic. Shocked  I believe what happened to them is absolutely horrible.

I just feel that regardless of how much you love your "stuff", pets or even people for that matter, if a tradgedy happens and you lose something or someone that is important to you, life still goes on.  That's the beauty of life.  It's fine (and most likely necessary) to mourn your losses, but in the end it's necessary move ahead with life.  Yeah, some things can't be replaced.  However, how can anyone  ever be happy if we're continually sad over all that we've lost?  In this life nothing is forever.

I've lost my mother, grandmother, and grandfather all of whom I was extremely close to, but in the end, life goes on.

I've lived through a housefire in which everything was lost, including my two cats and one of our dogs (and her seven puppies, who were only a week old(and were born on my birthday))... So my prayers are definately with your SIL and her fiance Sad If you get a chance, give them a hug for me.

It's definately not 'just stuff'. Indeed life goes on, but... you still miss what you had... and at least for me, I'll never stop regretting the fact that I can't pass on my baby blanket and stuffed tiger to my future children (if I have any)... Maybe it was the fact that we were away at my great-grandmother's funeral, and got stuck in a snowstorm (and almost killed) on the way back, only to find our house and everything we had completely destroyed, but... Some things just scar you for life.

I hope your foot is feeling better, Lisabelle :/

Ahh... we did Easter dinner yesterday.  My neice stressed me out and punched me in my eye........  So now I have a shiner.  My SIL was like she hit you then hit her back she has to learn.  So I hit her back, not hard or in the face.  Well little M cried for 20 minutes.  I was freaked..., but her mother said she has to learn.  Needless to say I wanted to go home!

Today I'm going to de-stess and relax...

Even more messed up is that she didn't discipline her own child herself! WTF?!

That's not your job, Lisabelle.
Perhaps you should spend time/holidays away from your husband's family until they can all learn to behave.  Shocked

Dear Hair Diary,

I washed my hair yesterday and today is bellydancing.  Yesterday after my shower my landlord called to say the ceiling under me was leaking.  This is an old problem with the houses structure.  My landlord is too cheap to have a plumber come in and  fix it.  So today he's coming by today to chalk the bathtub. Tongue  The smell of that stuff make me sick! Sad And he makes me sick too.........

My eyes feeling a little better which is good.  I think I will start my day early so I will not be disturbed when the Landlord comes over.

bye for now! Smiley

Congrats on your harringbone braid, Lisabelle!!  I hope to do a nice one on myself someday.  I'm just starting to get the hang of bringing a braid that I start at the back of my head over my shoulder to finish.  Maybe I should say I'm a work in progress.

Are your temps getting warmer yet up there in Canada?

Oh, Lisabelle, I forgot to tell you.  Some of my friends from the gym and I are going to get together on Tuesday afternoons at the gym and do bellydancing videos together.  I wish you could join us.
I've ordered a few new DVD's-if they're any good I'll let you know!

That sounds like fun Sakina.  I'd like to know which DVD's you got as well.  I just purchased a DVD called Fantasy Bellydance: Desire.  I only half looked at it though.  I need to watch it again to see if I like it or not.

I ran out of my med so I'm stoned... Tongue  Will get them tonight (thank god!)

Hair's doing good....Got a hair insult from my bastard landlord - he said your hair looks so dirty -  Angry  I had just wash it the day before and well he can shove his comment!

Today was my nieces 4th birthday party.  They had people come in with animals from a pet store to let the kids pet them. Snakes, lizards, a puppy, genue pig and a bunny.  I got to hold the bunny, who was a velvety soft brown Rex.  I teared up as I kissed his head. Cry  I nearly traded my car for that bunny.  sigh...

Anyway hairs doing great.  Hubby gave me a great hair completment today.  He said mine was the most healthies, most pretties hair out of all the mums at the party. Roll Eyes

Otherwise I'm flat broke, phones been cut off, which is good in a way - no bill collector calls!

Bye for now...

Thanks for posting a pic of that braid for me.  I couldn't even imagine how to do a braid like that.

The nerve of your landlord! Angry He can go you know where with his comments.  Where does he even get off making a comment like that anyway?  Besides, I'm sure your hubby knows best and your hair was the prettiest and most healthy of all of the mothers. Wink

I hope you get your meds and feel better soon. (((hugs)))

Thanks for posting that link, Lisabelle.  I could never do most of those braids though, they look too difficult for me to even attempt.  Although, once my hair gets longer, it might be fun to try some of the easier looking ones.

Dear Hair Dairy,

Washed my hair today and now it all curly Smiley  Did my dancing and had lots of fun, cleaned the house, washclothes...man I'm pooped!

Babysat on the weekend, little Morgan is still begin very difficult.  Its sad to see her mother just leaves her for days and goes off like that.  I wonder how she's going to do that when she has the next one in July?  Truly I beleive her to be nuts.

Anyway, the sun is shining, the birds are tweeting and Spring is sprung!

Sakina:  I tried the Henna and it helped hubbies hand! Cheesy

Lisabelle, your response confused me because I wasn't aware that henna had healing properties, but I get it now. Grin

When Sakina mentioned it, I thought she meant that it might help his mood or something...which could possibly work too... I guess. Cheesy

Henna is used for headaches in India, the cooling sensation helps the with the pain.  In Saudi the women do the soles of there feet to protect them form the hot desert sand along with there hands and palms in on solid glove. Smiley
This is great for arthritis too! Smiley  What I did with hubby was place a thick layer of unterped henna on his sore knuckes, put a construction glove on him and he washed it off in the morning. Cool

You're so clever!  If henna is not terped, does it not leave a stain?

I'm glad hubby's hand is better.

Today is break day, I've been cooking, cleaning, working out and god knows what!  I'm just going to realx and do my facial today, and perhaps play with my hairtoys and hair.  I should go visit Bunnies grave, thing is I cry like a baby when I go there. Embarrassed Cry  I was thinking of getting a guenie pig, they had one at Morgans 4th b-day party and it was so cute! Sigh... Tongue

Dear Hair Diary,

I'm having fun with the curl lotion I got from La Coup. Cool  I found it works best of I dampen my hair down with a sprizter bottle first then spray on the lotion, scrunch and put on a snood for 15 mintues or so till it dries.  I just hope I do not dry out my hair with this stuff!...

Oh here's the henna I did on my feet!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/22331106@N03/2423372796/
Today I did my boobs in a pattern that is similar.  Sorry no pics!... Roll Eyes heheh!

Hubbies hand is getting better, apperently he broke a few knunkles! Tongue  That hasn't stopped him (if you know what I mean)...

Right now he has a throat infection so I'm going to make him a herbal drink that will help kill off the bactiria and soothe his throat.  It tastes horrid but it works!

Anyway its almost bedtime!

I got a pediometer hehheh!  So I 've been using it on my walks, it's neat!  I got it at that awsome garage sale in the weekend.

Lastnight was hilarious!  I went to put out the garbage and there was three raccoons on the dumpster waiting of me.  They jumped down ran up to the bag and grabbed it from me! Grin  I'm like Hey! Don't I get a tip!  LOL!!!

Dear Hair Dairy.

I washed my hair today.  I let it go over a week this time and did a clarifying shampoo. I'm still looking for Jason Hemp shampoo in the stores up here with non luck. Tongue  I feel I need more mosture in my hair.  Everytime I see people with dryed out hair in stores and stuff I just cringe!  Tongue  Have lots of split ends lately. Did a S&D lastnight, there was hair everywhere.

I found that my hubbies new razor is awesome for doing my legs! Cheesy Heheh no more rashes!! I got some neat bra's yesterday.  It hard to find my size in anything that doesn't look like it belongs to Nana!  Grin  I got a red one with fishnet details and another in red tarten.  I put on the tarten one and ran around the house yelling "Scotland!" much to hubbies delight! Roll Eyes

Well its latenight tea time, bye for now!...

I hope you feel better soon.  Something must be going around because I've been feeling a bit blah myself.  I think (well, at least in my case) that when the sleeping gets screwed up it just makes everything else seem screwed up as well.

Glad you're happy with Aveeno and Braun!  I picked up Loreal Sun Glow for the first time for Fair Skin.  Used it twice and it's pretty good.  No orange color or bad smell.  I think I'd like to try the Aveeno next time though!  Does it come in Fair Complextion?

Dear Hair Diary,

I've been trying to keep myself calm during this taxing time I'am having with hubby (he has midlife crisis) I did not know it could happen at age 44 but there it is. Embarrassed Cry

I have been looking after my hair.  I did an emu oil treatment tonight.  I found I have to use Frizz ease and Curl defines on my hair or it looks like a mop. Lips Sealed  However I clariy once a week and wash once a week.  It does look s nice with the curls and I make pin curls at the sides of my head for an added cute look. Roll Eyes

Anyway it almost 1:00

Good nite Ladies Wink
