A whole "CAMP" of long hair
Jul 30th, 2008 at 7:24pm

I have been going to camp all week.  Each year the Pentecostals in Oregon get together and hear good preaching, have good eating, and loads of fellowship.  Well, this year my 1st long hair sighting as I came out of the restroom, was a young lady 16 -20 yrs old, with a calf-length high pony tail..  It was just marvelous.  It also looked very well cared for.  I also saw a lot of UNcared for hair.  Lots of abuse and punishment.  I cringed at some of the styles cuz I know what implements of torture was used on their poor hair.

Wow!  That's some sighting.  I don't think I've ever seen hair that long in person.

Sounds like you had a "good" time!

Did you wear your hair up the whole time?

Wow - to be that length, I would think she probably had never had her hair cut or even trimmed.  Did the ends look trimmed or totally natural?  I hope she continues to take good care of her hair.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time.  Smiley

Hi BB and Sakina,  Her ends were totally natural and my hair was up most of the time.  It was tooo hot to let be down. I did try a banded pony tail once, and I liked it.  I also left it down once but the heat was too much for me. I didnt see many women with thick hair like mine.  I kinda was on the lookout for new styles with hair like mine.  It was a good place to go "hairdo shopping."  But with all the abused hair running around, I couldnt bear it.  I didnt find anyone with whom I could ask, "How do you do that witih your hair?"  I did get a compiment when I combing mine to put it back up.  Made my day.   Grin Grin.

I'm sure you were an inspiration to many at the camp for how well cared for your hair was.  Wink
