I sympathize with about the centipedes.  When I first moved to the Chicago area, we lived in an apartment bldg. and had centipedes 3" and 4" long coming out of the heating system.  Shocked  It was freaky!  I went thru CANS of Raid, but finally got rid of them.  When it comes to those things, I have no Buddhist tendencies at all.

Dear Hair Diary,

It's great to be back!  And the font is nice and large now! Good for old bats like me who cannot see! lol!!! Cheesy

Been getting ready for halloween!  I have decided to go as a Geisha and Don's going as a kabuki ghost!  Neat eh??  It's his first time getting makeup done on his face so this should be a funny!  My hair is nice and dirty so the hair do will hold really good.  I got some styling gum to help old it....(oh man I hate using these things Tongue)  I found some Pantene Soft Start curl cream and am going to give it a try soon.

Anyway I am off!

Squee!
Split peach!

I actually tried the split peach on Friday, and failed in the most stupendous fashion.  Embarrassed

Then I read all the faqs again, and found out it really only works if you use hair wax or hair glue. No momoware for me, I guess.  Cry

SO! Pictures! I will have to experience my momoware vicariously through you!  Grin

Dear Hair Diary!

Happy Halloween!!!!  We had tons of fun lastnight!  First off...ehheh on Devils night we toilet papered Don's partners tow truck!  The wild part was as we were doing it at 2 in the morning the nextdoor nighbor came out with two rolls of toilet paper and said "need help?"  I almost died laughing!! Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

For Halloween we went to Don friends house and helped out with handing out candy. He had a nice haunted house thing going were everyone was a monster and scared the kids as they came in to the enclosure.

Kitten!! Here is my hair!!!  ...
the good old split peach or as close as I could get to it Smiley

...  Here me handing out candy.

... Another on of me in Kimono.  I also had the tabi socks and zori sandles ( please ignore the cigarette in my hand Lips Sealed)

...  Here my Don all done up in Kabuki make up.  The blue is for ghosts Smiley Poor thing had never had makeup done on him.  He was a little nervous but I calmed him by saying you know your favorite actor wears makeup too..right? Smiley  He likes Ron Perlman a.k.a the Beast from Beauty and the Beast Smiley I am really pleased with the way I hid his eyebrows. I used spirit gum to flatten them then covered with concealer before applying the white cream.

Next year I will get some pro makeup.  It took a long time to get these looks going.  My hair took about five trys, but thankfully I did it!  I used hair wax and hair spray to keep it together.  Once I got home I washed it all out.

Well it late so off to bed with me!
Nite nite Smiley Smiley

That looked like so much fun!  You did tell Don the importance of cleansing your make-up off regardless of how late it gets, right? Wink

LOL!  He had the makeup off while we were still there.  He just grabbed the dishwashing liquid off the counter and hit the bathroom Tongue

Sounds like you had a blast!
Love the outfit and the hair. Did you make your kimono yourself? Don't worry about the cig, I'm positive that there are at least a few geisha that smoke. Smoking is pretty popular overseas!

Wax and hairspray, that's the ticket. If I weren't so scared of most hair products, I'd get some. Momoware, we shall meet again.  Cheesy

Please tell your Don that he looks positively ghostly and awesome in his face paints!

Dear Hair Dairy,

Right now I am listening to Japanese Tako Drums Smiley  I once saw these drummers at a Renn Fest and to hear it outdoors is so much better...it takes you back to another time and place.

I am so sore from wearing my obi belt lastnight. Embarrassed  Time for Ben gay! lol!!

I am going to do a coconut heat treatment this week. I also need a trim too...

Anyway I am off

Lisa
