Hair  Still growing.  I'm thinking I'll let it grow all winter, then decide in the spring to cut or not.

Other  Rest in peace, Patrick Swayze.  Effing cancer.   Angry

Digging on Shinedown tunes this morning.   Cool

Even if I'm not a fan of any of the stars that have died this year.  It did hit me how many of them died of cancer. Sad

Hair  I think the Pantene Ice Shine shampoo is not doing a good job of giving my hair what it needs.  So this weekend I'll purchase more of the...what's it called?  Pantene Volume, yeah.  Even diluted, that stuff seemed to be excellent.

Other  Hubby will be busy tomorrow working a MOCHIP even at our local district fair.  http://www.mochip.org/
Then he leaves Sunday morning, along with 2 fellow lodge brothers, for Columbia to attend the Masonic Grand Lodge conference.  He'll return sometime Tuesday evening, so mamma will have to hold down the fort.   Cool

Family reunion is in...two weeks' time, on October 3.   Cool

Hair  Standing in Wally World on Saturday morning, comparing Pantene's Volume shampoo with their Full and Thick shampoo.  Same ingredients, hmm... probably just a little more of one ingredient than another.  The F&T shampoo advertises right on the bottle, though, that it's for "thin or thinning" hair.  Hey, that's me!  So that's what I bought.  Was going to dilute the shampoo but realized I needed to experience it full-force to gauge whether or not it will do the job.  As usual, when trying a new product, I did a vinegar rinse first.  And so far...  I'm very pleased with the results.  I used no mousse or spray yesterday, after trying the F&T shampoo for the first time and my hair looked good, really good.  Afraid the nice results were a fluke, I opted again this morning *not* to use mousse or spray.  No blow fryer either--just combed my hair into place and allowed it to air dry.  It really looks great!  I mean, I don't *think* I'm imagining things.  I'm pretty sure I'm not suffering from wishful thinking.  Time will tell -- but I think I've found a new shampoo.  Cool

Other  Hubby left yesterday morning for his trip to grand lodge and will return sometime tomorrow evening.  I must admit...it was nice being able to read whenever I wanted, without having the tv blaring in the background.   Smiley

Hmm...I've tried Full & Thick on occasion and was never impressed with the results. I guess it makes more of a difference if you actually have thinning hair as opposed to just thin hair. Huh What I do like about it is that it's an anti-breakage formula. Smiley

Hey Trish, you and I suffer with the same blaring TV!  I've discovered ear plugs help alot!! Grin  Even if hubby is snoring loudly,I use earplugs and they cut down on the noise alot without my fear of not hearing something important like the phone or one of the pets getting into mischief or needing help.  Just an FYI!

Hair  I'm noticing that my hair, around the temples, appears somewhat frizzy and flyaway when I don't use mousse.  Hmm.   Huh  I do like for my hair to appear smooth and silky, so I guess I'll start using the mousse again, at least part of the time.

I have the same issue in my house.  What's up with men and the tv??? Undecided  I'll ususally go upstairs for peace and quiet.  We don't have a tv in our bedroom.  I'm so happy about that! Cheesy

Hair  Used mousse this morning and my hair does indeed look smoother.

Other  Ah, Autumn...   Cool

Re:  TVs, blaring and otherwise...
I usually don't mind watching tv, I really don't.  I guess I just wish we had more quiet time of an evening that didn't involve tv.  Don't get me wrong--I don't think I'm one of those folks who can do away with their tv altogether.

Hubby made it back from Grand Lodge last night around 8:00.  He brought back some goodies, including two free ink pens for moi (yay!) and a very nice "Mrs Mason" pin.  See example here

Trisha!  I have started turning off TV about 1/2 hour before "bedtime" and sit on the couch to read and listen to music.  I'm finding that I'm sleeping better and feel more content since I started doing this.  Just an idea!

Hub can turn off the TV, roll over and sleep but I need dark, quiet time, a thinking break and some more time to fall asleep.

Hair  I voted for a no-wash day this morning, so hair is up in a clip.  It's great having hair long enough to do that with again.   Smiley  Still loving the Pantene F&T shampoo.

That's a great idea, sweetie.   Cool  But it wouldn't work at my house.  We have only the one tv upstairs, that the whole fam watches.  And between my brother in law, my husband and myself, I'm usually the one who heads for bed first, around 9:00pm.  That's not to say I couldn't simply remove myself to the bedroom earlier for some quiet time.   Wink

I didn't know you had your b-i-l living with you.  We do have two tv's- one in the living room and one in the guest bedroom.  My hubby goes to bed earlier than I, so instead of reading in bed when he's trying to sleep I started reading out on the couch.  I cannot sleep with a tv close to the bed-it makes a sound and there's a static-y feeling I get that is disturbing.

Do you have a place for a cool, comfy reading chair?  That, a lamp, small table and a boom box and you'd be all set!
