Considering henna
Apr 23rd, 2009 at 8:20am

I am seriously considering hennaing my hair.  If I had some in the house, and if last weekends blizzard had actually been a blizzard I'm impulsive enough that it probably would have happened.  Probably best that it didn't though.  I am working now on saving up enough loose hair for a decent strand test (which feels like it will take forever) to see if I would like it.  I may order some cassia in the mean time to feel like I've done something nifty to my hair while I patiently wait.

My fear is getting bored with it and wanting to go back to my natural color.  Its not that I hate my natural color, but I don't love it either.  But could I handle another 6+ years of growing out if I wanted a change?  Guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

Hi, Valerie!  Long time no see!!

I started doing cassia once a month 3 months ago.  I am loving it!  It gives my normally ashy color a bit of a lift, though it isn't overtly noticeable.  I like how it makes my hair feel and I have less worry about damage.

I've been ordering my cassia from www.hennacaravan.com.

Thanks for the link Sakina!  Have you noticed a difference in your curls with the cassia?

It is not noticeably more or less curly-seems to be the same.  I had read that amla powder is supposed to enhance curls but I haven't tried it yet.  I was considering adding amla to the cassia and see what happens.

Nope.  A harvest test is always a good idea though before you do your whole head.  If you go to Mehandi.com their site is pretty extensive.  You can get samples first and then if you like the outcome, buy bigger packages.  HTH Smiley

Henna is a best for a hair and you must use it,and it available in many colour you choose and apply it and you mix a egg,curd,aloe-Vera in hair and it never affect your hair.
