Yeah, why not ask him?

I replanted my fittonias because they outgrew thier little pots.
...

So, I got another pot from Lowes (they had them on sale) and I put them both together in the larger pot.  Then, placed them upstairs in my meditation/workout room.

I also cut up a plastic pot, the kind with the holes in the bottom.  I turned the bottom part of the pot upsidedown and placed it in the planter that way, for better drainage.

Well, I watered my African Violet for the frist time yesterday.  I watered from the bottom and crossed my fingers.  I hate fussy plants...but there so cute!  I need to get AV (african violet) plant food.  It a rainly damp day so for those who have Peace Lilies do not mist them - tip of the day! I'm glad that you like me re potting job.  Smiley

I can't have fussy plant's, neither of my thumbs are that green. Embarrassed

I know that this is a "house" plant thread but check this out.
...

I planted an assortment of green, yellow and red bell peppers but some have sprouted black.  I'm assuming (since I never planted them before) that the black ones will lighten up and turn red like my flowers sometimes do.  I think it's pretty cool though. Cheesy

I've never seen purple peppers before, not even in the store.  However, since I ordered a mixture of seeds, I wouldn't be suprised if they threw some other kinds in there.  The same thing happened with the sunflowers that I planted in the spring.  I feel like Forrest Gump...I never know what I'm gonna git. My ever growing collection is getting bigger!  I found a cute mini staghorn fern and a drawf umbrella tree.  I got to ask Don's step mother about her african violets.  She said she just waters them--- oh well! she has them in a lovley plant stand that holds nine plants....drool!  Today I got some more soil and some african violet food.  I am in competion with the lady arcoss form me to see who has the best flowers..evil grin..lol!  it getting harder and harder to find good potting soil.  Tongue

I think my son must've misunderstood some care instructions from his grandpa.  I don't think they're both supposed to stay in direct sun.  I've moved one to a half shaded area and given it a few drops of water.  I'm going to give it 6 months to revive.  I've seen cactuses do that in the past.  I've sometimes wondered why someone wanted someone else's seemingly death cactuses and then been surprised when the cactus was "resurected".

It's the autistic oldest one and he won't accept that it's death and maybe he's right; maybe it's really poorly but not really death.  He cares a lot about plants and animals.
