Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with an exquisite turquoise blue and ivory opaque spiral lampwork bead hand crafted by very gifted bead artist Robin Weber, nestled into an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A vintage ivory satin givre (color injected) bead occpuies the center position. A Swarovski Aquamarine Aurora Borealis crystal, topped with a Turkish sterling silver bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hairsticks are natural hand carved bone, in the timeless shade of ivory. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" from end to end.
