Venetian glass beads are made in Venice, Italy on the island of Murano. The beads seen today can be traced to the 11th century, when the beadmakers were executed if they attempted to leave the island with their precious beadmaking secrets! The end of each hairstick is adorned with a gorgeous vintage pink and gold aventurine Venetian art glass bead nestled into a vintage gold plated flower bead cap. A Swarovski Jet bicone crystal occupies the center position. A Swarovski Light Rose Aurora Borealis cube crystal sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are hand carved bone dyed elegant black and finished in flashes of gorgeous rose pink special effect metallic pigment. The hair accessories measure 5 7/8" from end to end.
