There are only two special order versions of this design available.
Industrialized glass making began in the Czech Republic, formerly known as Czechoslovakia, in the early 15th century. Local production throughout the country was characterized by many small workshops that specialized in the blowing, engraving, cutting and the painting of glass and crystal. Bohemian glass was originally thought to be magical, as was Prague considered a magical city. Bohemian glass has been famous worldwide since the 18th century, although local production of glass actually started in the 14th century. Bohemian glass is still very popular today and is used extensively throughout the jewelry making industry.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a breathtaking Bohemian vitrail crystal rhinestone glitter bead that flashes vibrant hues of gold, green and pink, nestled into an ornate gold plated bead cap. A Swarovski Vitrail bicone crystal, topped with a gold plated filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, dyed black and hand finished in an emerald green special effect metallic pigment that flashes stunning iridescence with movement, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 3/4" long from end to end.
