Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a divine encased black and white twisted ribbon cane lampwork bead, hand crafted by glass artist Bill Grout, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A jet black cone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, dyed black and hand finished in pearl white special effect metallic pigment that flashes stunning iridescence with movement, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 3/4" long from end to end.
