Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a breathtaking encased rose pink on black and white floral lampwork bead, hand crafted by glass artist Allison Turner, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A silver plated rose pink aurora borealis crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A Swarovski Rose bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, finished in hand applied layers of shimmering metallic foil in shades of rose pink and silver, under several coats of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
