Venetian glass beads are hand made by master glassblowers in Venice, Italy on the Island of Murano, and are considered to be the finest art glass beads in all the world. The beads seen today can be traced all the way back to the 11th century, when the beadmakers were executed if they attempted to leave the island with their precious beadmaking secrets!
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a divine rose pink Venetian glass twisted leaf bead, with genuine 22kt. white gold foil captured within, nestled into an ornate double-ended Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A Swarovski Rose Champagne crystal sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are carved bone hand finished in a floral design in hues of rose and light pink, beneath a glittering sugared finish, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 6" long from end to end.
