 Please be sure to read the terms concerning special order versions of LongLocks HairSticks on our Ordering Information page before requesting a design.  There is only one special order version of this design available. Boro beads are created by lampwork bead artists using borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a specialized variety of glass that is far stronger than the glass typically used in bead making. The organic palette of borosilicate glass is described as "living color" that can be manipulated and shaded by the bead artist, which results in spectacular beads that encase layers of whispy, ever changing hues and multidimensional textures. Boro glass beads are incredibly mesmerizing when bathed in sunlight. The end of each of these hair pins is adorned with a divine encased boro bead with wisps of gold, fuchsia pink and blue captured within, hand crafted by glass artist Daniel Echeverry, nestled into a Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) filigree bead cap. A gold plated topaz crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A Swarovski Fuchsia bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the hair jewelry design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved wood, hand painted in satiny brilliant gold, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind extra long special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure approximately 7 1/2" from end to end.
