The introduction of a nerd
Oct 10th, 2009 at 7:49am

Hello!

I've actually been referring to this site for several years for hair care tips. I finally registered when I realized that I need support for maintaining my hair. I have this impulse every few years to cut it quite short, and then I regret it a few months later. I'm currently at bra-strap length, and my goal its tail bone; this should take two years. I'll admit that I'm a complete nerd-- I'm growing out my hair so that I can dress up as a long-haired anime character and prance around at a convention.
Thank you for reading my gibberish.    Cheesy

Welcome aboard, Euphie. Lovely to meet you. Smiley

The word you're looking for is geek, not nerd. Geeks go to conventions, nerds would rather stay home and cultivate their genius. There are some similarities between the two, and of course it's possible to be both, but there will always be distinct differences.

Anyway, it's nice to have you along with us. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome, Euphie!  I love your avatar.  I'm a big fan of Anime!!

I love the reason you're growing your hair long-its an awesome goal.  I love to dress up in costume, but haven't done any cosplay.  What's the name of the character you're emulating?

Sakina-- I'm working to cosplay as Euphemia Li Britannia (she appears in my avatar) from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Have you seen it? It's amazing.

I think I saw an episode this summer in Singapore.  My niece and nephew watch a lot of anime.  How will you get your hair red?  Have you tried henna?  Applying henna might also protect your hair during your swimming adventures.
