Picture of 5 strand crown braid

I had my hair braided into a 5 strand crown at the local Ren Fest.  The braider was very gentle and careful with my hair.  It felt so weird when it was done - almost like I had no hair!

Absolutely beautiful.  Did you go to the Ren Faire in No. California? I would love to have my hair braided like that. Thanks for sharing.

The Ren Fest I went to was in Minnesota, but the braiders travel all over the country.  The fellow that did my hair said he travels 10 months of the year doing braiding at Ren Fests and other such events.

If you go to a Fest that has braiders, it is a lot of fun and not all that expensive.  I'd suggest going early and having it done right away.....at our Fest the braiders had a 3 hour wait at 1 pm.

wow, I can't wait until my hair is long enough to do something like that!  Hmm,  I'll have to add learning a 5 strand braid to my list of things to do...
