Umm.... Me
Mar 20th, 2004 at 4:19pm

Hey peoples, first post, first visit to these boards...

How long is your hair? I'd say it's about mid-back... No idea how long that actually is in a measurement...

What color is your hair? Weird. That's what colour it is. It used to naturally be a mousy brown kinda colour, but then I dyed it copper gold about 10 years ago (has it really been that long?!) and since then its decided to take on a red tinge. I want it to be black with either blue or purple streaks, but I haven't gotten around to getting the money together to dye it... I also haven't worked out if I want to get streaks or hair extensions so I don't have to bleach my hair...

Is your hair straight/curly/wavy? Straight. And I don't have any idea what to do with it. The only hairstyle I can come up with is plaitting it.

Do you have favorite products to use on your hair? No, not really. I've never really taken an interest in my hair until recently. It's just been there and I've washed it and brushed it. I'm hoping being on a board like this will give me ideas on what products would be good for my hair and some new hairstyle ideas...

What are your favorite hair accessories? I don't have any for the same reason as above...

Now that's my hair... I spose you'd want to know a little about me...

I'm 21 years old and I live in Western Australia. I'm what most people would call a "Goth", but I don't particularly like labeling myself as anything but "Me".

I'm currently studying Web Design at TAFE and, depending on how good I go, am looking at that for a career choice.

I have an interest in Medieval re-enactments and am a member of a sword-fighting group called Circle of the Sword... I just love getting dressed up in all the cool clothes that used to be worn...

I think that's about it really...

Welcome!!

I think my hair was about mid-back when I realized it was starting to get long and maybe I should start paying attention to it and taking care of it.  Glad you found this site.  Hopefully we help you discover lots of fun things you can do with your hair.  Have you tried making a bun yet?

Circle of the Sword sounds a lot like SCA (http://www.sca.org/) around here.  The costuming is fantastic at some of the events.

I'm hoping I can get a lot out of these boards, my hair is just annoying me a lot lately, especially in the heat that we've got going at the moment. Someone needs to convice the weather here that we're in Autumn, not the middle of Summer!

Circle of the Sword is very similar to SCA. The only major differences, that I know of, is that CotS is a West Aust only group, whereas SCA is a world-wide group. Also I don't think SCA accepts under 17 members, but CotS has people as young as 7 training with us.

HEAT!  Boy I'd love a little of that right now!  We are still getting snow but wishing Spring would really come.

Hope you get some great ideas here for handling your hair.
