styles for sleeping with fine hair
Apr 22nd, 2004 at 6:35am

Hey, I obviously have fine hair.  It does not want to stay in any kind of hair do unless it is very tight.  I am also tender headed which can make if fun at times  Undecided.  I am having problems with using a braid because the ponytail holder is rubbing my back raw, about half way down my back.  Any suggestions as to what I could do, other than cut it?

Thanx!!

Have you tried using a soft scrunchie to hold it in place so it won't rub hard on your back? Or maybe wrapping it up into a bun and holding it with a scrunchie?

I personally cannot stand having my hair in a braid down my back, as I slept on it that way for many years.

Three suggestions, all of which I have successfully tried:
    1. Use 2 braids
    2. Buy some of those new clear elastics that don't stick to your hair. They aren't bulky like a pony tail holder.
    3. Start your braid on top of your head and pin it up there.
