It's May Day and time to measure once again. I'm about to run off to a wedding shower, but hopefully when I return I can pull out the tape measure and see if I have any growth from the last month.
How about the rest of you?

My hair is 33", which is about 3/4" longer than it was after my trim last month. (I forget what day that happened on, I'll be keeping better records from now on.) This is the longest it's been in about 20 years. Until I discovered hair support boards, I was just wearing it loose, and it would break off at about waist length.
Now I wear it up every day, CO wash (looking for a new CO conditioner, kiwi-lime makes my scalp break out), and it seems to have healthy ends for a change.
Right now it's up in an coconut-oily braided bun. I'll probably wash the oil out tonight before bedtime.
Here's a double bun I did with my camera in the delay mode, perched on the middle shelf of the bathroom cabinet.

eKatherine; what a wonderful picture! Your "cinnamon bun" has sooo many turns in it. Can you share with us how you are keeping it together? Do you have hair pins hiding in there? Does is stay up by itself?

Here's what I did: I parted my hair down the middle in back. You can see the part above the bun. One section I pulled and twisted toward the part, and formed a cinnamon bun in the middle. I fastened it with small hairpins. The other section I twisted right next to the first bun, and wrapped it around that to form an extra loop around the outside that makes my hair appear to be about twice as long as it actually is.
I tucked the ends and fastened with lots more hairpins.
