Cholesterol?
Jun 18th, 2004 at 6:03am

I was talking with my Mother tonight about conditioners...And she said back when she was around 20 something and had hair that reached her bum she loved Queen Helene Cholesterol...I was just wondering if anyone has tried it or uses it? She said it worked well for her hair and mine is getting a bit dry in the back, I think from keeping it up all the time...So I am looking around for a deep conditioner. Also any suggestions on some would be great.Smiley  Thanks in advance!

I've not used any deep conditioners that I liked (most were very heavy with silicone type products that my hair does not like).

I have found that using just a bit of my regular conditioner on my hair as a leave-in has left my hair silky, soft and very manageable.

Maybe someone else can pop in with some deep conditioners they've had good luck with.

I used that Queen Helene Cholesterol back when I
used  to perm my hair several years back and I liked
it a lot bot I haven't used it lately because I'm afraid
it might weigh down my fine hair-you could try it, though
at least once.

if your hairs not adverse to cones, i recommend Pantenes winter repair deep conditioner (little sachet with gold colouring). pantene seems to have a bad rep but it did wonders for my fine hair!  Smiley

Hi AtlantisAllure,

I use Queen Helene Cholestrol deep conditioner all of the time, and it really work wonders on my hair!  I love it!  I've been using it since the early 1990's.  I love how rich and creamy it is.  I use it on my  both permed and colored-treated hair.  I would recommend it to anybody.  I wish that I had hair down to my bum.

Yeh, the stuff is still around, and I use it sometimes too!  The last time I bought it I was at Fred Meyers One Stop Shopping!!!  I like it from time to time on my curls ( I usually leave it in for about 1/2 hour).

Oh yes, I don't think it is ever going to leave the market.  I always buy mine at beauty supply stores or Sally's Beauty Supply.  Sometimes when I do a deep conditioning with it I sit under a hooded dryer for 15 minutes.  Then I rinse it all out with the coldest water that I can stand.
